as much as gaga is crap music for morons .. and i agree most media is paid advertising including many of my favorite magazines .. the fact is prince pays for good reviews too ... i have never seen prince get so many 4 star ratings and mentions for no good reason when crap like lgc reloaded is certainly not a 4 star release or even mildly entertaining .. prince is just as bad

The way I look at it, Prince did not state his personal opinion he just posted a letter another person wrote, also he asked people to discuss it so again "he is not the one making accusations" he just wants to know people's opinion on the letter...

Lastly the way the letter is written in my opinion accuses billboard and most likely gaga's record company for doing shady things.. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaga didn't even know what record execs where doing behind her back...

So we're supposed to believe Prince constantly pays top dollars for good reviews because he's desperate for promotion but is also deservedly criticized for barely promoting his music even though he can make a splash just showing up at an award show.

If Prince buys his good press, explain the HnR reviews, factor the odd critic in a smalll webzine that liked Lotusflow3r. You can quickly see that if he's paying for good press, he's doing it wrong.

Did he ever arrange for a record being pushed? Probably, but as largely independent artist since the mid- nineties, he's up against major labels that both engage in the practice and basically don't need it due to their power in the industry.

It's funny that some always act like he's this evil money hungry person that would do anything for a little promotion, except use the biggest tool at his disposal : himself in "star" mode, riding the legend with a stellar guitar.

Prince brought this on himself. Unlike him, Lady Gaga always shows love towards her fans. That's why they literally worship her as their mother. Prince is obviously jealous of where Lady Gaga is and where he currently is in today's music world. At the end of the day, it's no one else's fault but Prince. *sad face*

Ummm.. Gaga isn't exactly on top of the music world these days considering the commercial failure of ArtPop. Not exactly sure what your post is supposed to mean.

I think Gaga fans missed Prince's point. He's probably wondering why his labels,Tidal and WB, didn't step up and buy that award for him instead. Since it was for sale and everything.

He's a self-aggrandizing superstar with a not-so-subtle nasty streak. Like the rest of us, Prince was by nature deserving of an ego slap down.

For morons? Ok, there is a line you must be aware of. One thing is saying that someone's music is crap, because that is individual experience and taste...But saying that is for morons is just -- nicely said - an act of frivolity.
