Am I the only one who doesn't really like "Dance With The Devil"? I think it's too slow and boring...it doesn't really go anywhere.
Nope, i'm with you on that. You know its automatically glorified (like most vault songs) BECAUSE it wasn't included. The lyrical content and the film quote are relevant but nahhh. Prince is actually a better editor than he's given credit for in many instances
I loved it when I first heard it but it's fallen in my estimation a fair bit as well. Still though, it shoulda been released in some way. |

Me too, completely agree with you about unreleased songs automatically being elevated in peoples estimations.
But then again I really like Lemon Crush, so what do I know RIP |

He should of kept Dance with the Devil on there, I usually skip Scandalous. I prefer Insatiable in that respect. Arms of Orion is kinda ech but I listen to it more than Scandalous.
You're my first!
Yeah, one of his best drum programming in the 80's is mediocre at best |

I think it should have been more in synch with the style of the movie and woven into the film. A lot of the tracks are OK but they sound like what they are: songs Prince had laying around and shoehorned them into the movie by adding samples and changing some lyrics a bit. I think there a reason Burton didn't use much of the music and what he DID use felt forced. [Edited 12/11/15 10:25am] |
