In celebration of our first significant snowfall in Minne (Chanhassan to be exact), my favorite local radio station is going all Prince on their local stream at 10 am CST today.

Update 11/30, early afternoon: Despite this morning’s snowfall, they’re still looking at green grass at Prince’s studio! Here’s a photo taken at Paisley Park just after noon. We’re tracking the snow accumulation — but it looks like we’re not ready to pull the lever quite yet.

Yeah, that makes it seem unclear. Under the picture at the top of the article it states "We're pulling the Prince lever!"

And if you go to the website's front page you see this.

It has indeed snowed more than an inch in Chanhassan.

Clearly the update is old. They're pulling the lever in a few minutes and I am joining their Prince Party! Thanks for posting!

That played on the "other" The Current. They are playing 2 playlists or something?; one is all Prince, the other they're playing Prince in their mix of other artists. I'm on the all Prince one now though.

Yeah that's their main stream that's also played on the radio here. They have a few online-only streams, one of which is dedicated to local music, and that's the one that's gone ALL Prince.

I absolutely love that they pulled songs from the entire span of his career--not just the usual '80s but right up to present to best show the true scope and depth of that brother's mad talent. Now, THAT's how a musical tribute is supposed to be done!

I can't, because I don't have every song in my iTunes. I'm hearing a lot of stuff that I haven't heard in a long time. Loving it!
