Loved hitnrun myself. Really not too keen on the Revelation thing, played it once. Purple pick hasn't been great but each time it's been a new Prince track I've really liked it.

Could have been better but in the old days we would be happy with an album and 4 non-albums tracks in 1 year..

(I count 4 new tracks: Baltimore, Stare, Free Yourself, IECGUA. And maybe even Pretzel reloaded)

But image what a year it could have been if Tidal kept to their definition of the Pick at launch: Music from the vault.

Hey MIRmvn, the HitNrun album is rather good, you should take another listen, and do your homework better...

It keeps getting better and better with every play. Believe me..

Prince's "goal" for these picks, it can't be hardcore fans.. what is he thinking..

I wonder who he is trying to reach.... the casual listener (non-Prince-fans)..? the review-journalists (in case they care, I don't think they care at all)..?

I love The Ladder... but unfortunately.. I think Prince is completely out of touch with his fans......

Its been a great year for me as a fan!! I love Hitnrun and the Purple picks of the week is not exactly the best but he has given us some new music. He doesn't even have to give us anything but he does. It was a fun year!! Lets keep it rolling into 2016. Revelation was the one I did not like. Too boring for my tastes.

As expected a track from HnR2 this week: Look at me, look at U.

It is really a disservice to the people who visit this site that an important thread like this is not stickied. Is this not one of the PRIMARY reasons people come to this site? To get news about Prince music. What is more important on a Prince news site than what Prince has released on his weekly forum? We've got a sticky about some obscure dead girl Prince had a crush on in Jr. High (or whatever, didn't bother to read all the way through) that no one's ever heard of that's locked, one about somebody's podcast, and one as a catch-all for off-the-wall posts (some of which are actually about news items being covered in the media), but not this.

I don't know. But it's Monday and only 10AM here so he has hours ('til Tuesday?) before he's late with something new.

Yes it's not tuesday yet. But last weeks it was available about 7 hours earlier (appr. 1:00 am apparently in your timezone).
