I haven't listened to this in awhile, what a slow jam! Love the laid back playing and vocals on this. I missed this song, still sounds great!

It's a great track, and the only reason it's not more celebrated is that SOTT has so many great songs, including the sublime Adore and If I Was Your Girlfriend.

It's also a perfect breezy moment, I don't see why it would "ruin" SOTT.

Great ballad. We really got to hear Prince the classic crooner on this one. I'd love to slow dance to this song. It's sound is so classic.

This song opened my mind to new styles of music, I began exploring jazz singers thanks to this song. Love it, it also helped (or didn't help) that I was madly in love about the time I was playing this on rewind.

SOTT is such an amazing album, I know it's songs from other unrleased albums but whoever helped Prince edit and sequence these cd's deserves a prize. Every style of music. "Slow Love" to me is a perfect prom song from the 50's or something, it just shows Prince can do itall.

It doesn't fit the album in many ways. Most all the other tracks are a twist, mashup, or dissection on a style, with electronic and minimal touches that make them different. "Slow Love" is completely retro and by the book.

I like the song, but it's not a great as the overall album. Still i love it, good song.

It's okay. It's no 'And God Created Woman.'
But I agree with DMSR (above) that it shows another style in Prince's oeuvre, which makes it kind of fitting for SOTT.

Love this song live. Studio..mmmm....not so much. But classic? IMHO, no. Don't get me wrong, I think it is a good song but, to me, it's a typical, by the numbers Prince ballad. Like many others have said, it just seems a little out of place on SOTT. Still a good song though.

Great performance and I love the SOTT live version as well. Perfectly paced pop ballad.

Probably my least favourite song of SOTT. It is a stellar album so competition is fierce. I think it is good (mostly) but often I skip it because it get's so slow in an annoying way, like the song/vocal is dragging, it really grates me. I could easily have this replaced by many other songs from that time, the original Joy in Repetition springs to mind....

Worst song on the record and in the movie. I would have rather had "It" "Dorothy Parker" "Starfish & Coffee" or "Strange Relationship" instead.

It's just sooooo by the book and cheesy as heck. I've heard him do these songs 100 times before and almost all of them are better than this one.

That's a very good song, really the music is very different from what he had done before, at that time.
