I'm really hoping its small venues/theatres.

And I guess thats most likely if its being billed as a 'Spotlight: Piano & Microphone' tour.

In Belgium it will be the cirque royal and that's a small venue with a capacity of 2.000 people.

He had no problem during his last hitnrun in America with bigger venues and I don't remember him having any difficulty getting respectable, if not sold out attendance in the last 15 years.

Of all the things to be nauseatingly negative about, this is the worst pick.

You just like to rain on people's parade pompously.

are you kidding me? just prince and his piano in small venues?

this is going to cause a feeding frenzy. i think people who want

to go will be lucky if they can brave the stampede and get some

tickets.

i'd love to go but i get really anxious in crowds, especially in a
crowd of prince fans falloff so i might give it a miss. although
it seems like an amazing idea.

i'll have to think about it for a minute.

Really? Remember the Gold tour, when people were 'warned' beforehand the wouldn't play any hits/Prince songs and then demanded their money back.

Something like this is going to be for fans only. But as I understand it, he has chosen intimate, smaller venues. So good.

Intriguing... if anybody from Paisley is reading this, I hope Prince is willing to be seen on stage while performing. In the last decade, he's kind of retreated into shadow on stage. Refusing to be seen. Especially while at the keys.

So good, until we can't get tickets.

Thus far, the available information comes from an article published at the Spanish newspaper El País, which sent a journalist to speak with Prince.

This is the original article:

http://cultura.elpais.com...14.html…

Here you have a translation of the full article (not a google translation):

This page in Housequake shows a summary of the information, and will be updated as new details unfold:

I agree. I don't care about it. If released Prince already said it will be released as it originally was with no extras. So why are people carrying on about it? Do people still listen to this album like its 1984? I only put that cd on about once a year if that. I just dont get it. I would rather have new music than an album already released

A) I don't care what Prince said, I'm waiting for WB laywers to get back to me

B) Sure, we all want new music. Sadly, Prince no longer makes music.

Regarding "B": Huh?

Prince with no twitchy dancers, nor proteges' de jour; just him, a microphone and a piano? Depending on the set list, I think I could totally go for that. nod

Me too! Folks in Europe are soooo lucky. I would love to see him do a whole performance on the piano. I wonder if this means he's going to release another piano album in the next year or two?
