Lovesexy - Crispium remaster I found this floating around the Internet and it sounds great! Anybody know the story behind this? He used the wav files and managed to bring out the bass more without it sounding overprocessed. The tagline says "extra sonic punch and presence" I play this version more than the original CD |

I don't really believe in these "fan remastered" albums. Of the ones I've heard, they are too compressed and amateur-like for me (just changing the EQ of a song just fucks it up). Until Prince starts giving a shit about his legacy, the definite version of Lovesexy or any of the earlier albums will be either the original 1st pressing vinyl or the 180g reissues or Dirty Mind, Controversy, 1999, and Purple Rain (debatable).

An awful bbc documentary has footage of behind the scenes recording of lovesexy in the studio with Femi I think. What little bits I could make out of the songs sounded far better than the final released versions to me. | |
