Shut These Stickys DOWN! Please? Too many stickys simply distracts the users, causes more unnecessary posts, and actually defeat the entire purpose of using stickys. I think one sticky for the HitNRun album would've sufficed! . Thanks. ~G "He's a musician's musician..." |

Thirding this. It's taking up way too much space on the page and is distracting. I think it was okay for the first week or two but I think the dust has settled with hitntun now so we can go back to normal programming as such  | |

Yes I believe the intent is to only have new release stuff stickied for a period of 30 days max, then they will be unstickied. During that period it does indeed help minimize clutter, prevent duplicate posts etc, by using one thread for each track. The solution would require some coding or customizing of the site. But what if there was a section up top divided by one frame. Within this frame you would have the previous sticky topics arrange by post date.
That was you wouldn't have that word "sticky" or the icon on this long list of stationary threads. As it is now, you do kind of ignore the stickies because you are looking for the most recent thread. Recent posts seem to outweigh topic in the mind of most users. Another problem is organizing any mention of Michael Jackson into that sticky wherever that is. That seems to undermine many important threads that are about Prince and his history just because Jackson appears or is part of the topic. I can see how Pronce using the same tour manager is very important in Prince lore but it would get relegated to this Michael Jackson sticky and is completely disorganized and suddenly lost.
