I'd have to agree with you there Lordy, Podcast Juice offer an American perspective.

. Listened to this today, very good, and, well, MC SloMo's rap........HA!! Very funny. What, with Captain's guitaring (I take it that's his thretwork at the start and end of the podcast), Toejam's hornplaying, and Playa (what does he do?), you've got a Peach and Black album right there. I'm sure Josh wouldn't mind helping out on production - you can get your NY buddy Prince to contribute and then bury him right down in the mix. . Also enjoyed the revelation that Prince hasn't made Captain want to dance ever...further probing by Rob Esse showed that Captain never dances anyway(!) Except when raving in London in the 90s. (I was probably there too mate. ) . Nice one.

So... what now ? Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

. I know you guys have got plans, but how about considering people on the Org creating a list of suggestions that they'd like you guys to discuss at the roundtable - and then you simply pick the ones you'd like to discuss?

True, we've got a few things in mind but sure go ahead - let us know what you think we should cover next Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

Yeah let us know Lordy U consistently give good post "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

. Mmmm...I'm sure there's some irony in there somewhere... . I know in the past you've done top 10 B-sides, but, off the top of my head, obvious things like top 10 extended mixes/remixes, top 10 guitar solos, favourite eras, top 10 live 'moments'/songs, perhaps one-off combined podcasts with Michael Dean at Podcast Juice or The Music Snobs. I'm sure there's plenty of interesting subjects that other Orgers would come up with if prompted. . It's a shame that you boys just do the authorised stuff, with a treasure trove of the unreleased and bootleg live stuff begging to be discussed, and I respect your stance, but woof! There's loads of podcasts right there....

^ No, no irony I genuinely appreciate your input on these P&B threads. Also, u write well Can I add, maybe shows where the fellas watch videos/tv appearances/gigs together and commentate? Maybe streamed live & we the listeners could contribute in a chat rm? I'd love some boots being covered too but I get it why that prob won't happen. If you're taking suggestions, I would love a review show of Xpectation, a review show of NEWS, and one of C-NOTE. You kind of buried them all in the ONA era show, but I think they deserve their own shows, just like the rest of Prince's albums got. Pretty please with sugar on top! I think our reasoning still stands on that one.. From memory, none of us thought any of those three were worth their own single episode so we included them all in that ONA era show.
I can't think of much at all to say about Xpectation,C-Note or NEWS I think what we said in that ONA show was about all there was...
But regardless, we'll keep it on the list of possibilities Hard to believe I've been on the org for over 25 years now!

I'm with you Lordy on one of those for sure, I've been pushing for an extended remixes show for at lest three years but nobody else wants to do it...
Favourite era/band would be interesting too.

But regardless, we'll keep it on the list of possibilities I see your point, but I wish I could convince you guys otherwise. It would be really cool to get a track by track review of these albums. Songs like Xogenous, Nagoya, and West really deserve some in depth discussion. They're better a lot of tracks on the more typical vocal albums. I imagine a C-NOTE show would pretty short, of course, which would be fine. NEWS is only 4 tracks, but it's really about 10 different songs stuck together by Prince to fit his vision of one track per cardinal direction. Xpectation is a great album with jazz and pop-funk combined and then a violin thrown in the mix. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

Wow.
X's Face got no love there. I'm surprised. To me this song is a modern day Prince classic. Epic minimalism which his falsetto slices through. His vocals are rich and the lyrics are sharp.
It's short and sweet, there is no particular intrumental flair on show, but does there need to be? His voice does the work here.
As much as I hated the monkey speech, I took it as a message to fans stuck in 1984 crying for a PR Remaster - The fans still looking for that purple banana "here it is, go on, take it".
Erase, rewind, edit and play... edit and play. Easily one of my favorites from the album.
