Now that Prince has released HITNRUN as a stream on TIDAL and this week as digital downloads and on CD at retail stores, what does Prince do following this project? It's unlikely that he will embark on a tour playing the music from this album to support it live and even if he does a video for one of the tracks, it would more than likely be a lyric video or directed by Daniel Curielle with choreography by The Twinz. I'm hoping Phase Two will be a new 3RDEYEGIRL album where they let loose in the studio. Keep the raw and young energy that they had when thye first formed at had on the Live Out Loud Tour and Prince write some songs from aggression. 3RDEYEGIRL is a rock band and P is still that dude on guitar and there is still so much untapped potential in the group. At this point, I'd rather Prince keep NPG as a live entity because Prince is better at rock than funk/soul on record at this point in his career.

I was not trying to make fun of u sorry, more like fun of Prince and his announced then shelvesd projects.

I'm in a terrible mood lately yeah. I have a GF so it's not about sex, it's just that I'm in a shitstorm in terms of money. Near bankrupcy and not knwing how nor when things will get better (since u're asking I'm telling u). Counting rupees (not euros man, fucking rupees!) every day to make ends meet until I can't anymore.

So yeah I'm irritating and irritated and pretty depressed in fact

And I try and actually manage to stay real nice with people IRL so I guess the Org is just when I blow people away to hell. Sorry about that.

Welp... I hope this project is just successful enough that hit motivates Prince to pack his favorite guitar, his sexiest chick, and gets in the studio with JAY-Z. Here is the thing... Josh is just as soft on the streets as Prince. His music is no more grounded in the streets that Never Be Another Like Me... I can't deal with YET ANOTHER album choack full of silly sounding whack tracks.

Im hoping he continues down this electronic/computer road. He hasnt quite nailed it yet and made it his own. AOA was close, but dragged down by a couple of clunkers and the pace was lacking. HNR picked up the pace, but still some clunkers that need exorsizing. But I think there is still lots for Prince to explore with the computer stuff and I hope he doesnt just abandon ship based on some of the poor reviews he is getting from his fanbase. If this is a new Prince, starting again, then there is hope. Afterall, it wasnt until his 3rd album, Dirty Mind, that he really nailed down a sound he could call his own. So here's hoping for a killer 3rd album with Josh which takes all these bleeps, swooshes and breaks and makes it their own, without the need to sound like someone else. Wishful thinking?

Is there anywhere he can go from here besides UP?

I hope he will focus on WRITING SOME GOOD SONGS!

Songs with smart and/or heartfelt lyrics. Musically completely fleshed out songs with an interesting musical structure and showcasing good musicianship. You know, verses, a catchy chorus, good hooks, a bridge, a breakdown and/or an extatic climax. Not a two chord 'groove' with bad lyrics like so many songs in recent years.

Once those clever, interesting songs are written, he can give them to Josh so he can do the beats and (electronic) production. Or hire some other producer or engineer who can beef up the songs soundwise and make them sound 'open' and 'full'. That is all Prince really needs IMO, someone who can make his songs sound current (after Prince has done all the writing, arranging and most of the playing).

On HnR it sounds too much like "Josh featuring Prince" IMO, I'd prefer it to be the other way around.
