Who hasnt heard the new album? And worse yet, i dont even care to. Damn, this is a first for me! Hes losin em. This year, Prince played 20 mins from my house, and i didnt even bother to attempt tix. Im afraid Prince and i are coming to an end. Sad day (for him) Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind. | |

I haven't heard it - I'm waiting for it to be available on some outdated format like downloads or cd. I am looking forward to it - just don't know when that will be. | |

I haven't heard it and I have no desire to either. 
I've heard the previews on Tidal. Didn't sign up, as I really only want to pay for the album once, not every single month to be able to listen to it. It's the only thing I'm interested in at the moment outside of my iPod, so joining Tidal for it seems like an unnecessary expense. I'll either get it on iTunes if released or I'll have to skip it I guess. | |

I haven´t heard it. Only the 30 second snippets on tidal. Ive ordererd my physical copy and will listen to it next week. Like every prince album, im excited. | |

I heard it. I love prince and I m everything but a hater I have a few questions tho real musical by real musicians? What happened ? A single is released (hardrocklover) and the album versions are exactly the same... how lazy? 37minutes? Feels like a scam I ve always admired prince for the wild and amazingly talented side.once uncomparable but this? I can do it myself. | |

X's Face and Hardrocklover are average. And then I read that people list those as the best on the album... Come on guys, nobody in their right mind would put those on the same level as 1999 or When Doves Cry. And of course somebody is now going to say that not everything needs to be a masterpiece, but I've had my share of second best Prince albums, I don't need to hear more. [Edited 9/11/15 0:47am] | |

The album (which I don't like) is only 37 minutes. It wouldn't be a lot of work to check it out. It's out there for those who know where to look...no need for Tidal. Even if you hate it, it's good to know the depths of your hate.  "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Downloaded Tidal trial on Monday just for the album. But it's taken me till this morning (Friday) to listen to it. Used to be I would get the album on the day it came out and rush home to listen to it. It's not excitement anymore, it's trepidation. Anyway, the album? Well, won't be rushing to keep tidal, or to buy a physical copy. Probably the first album that I really don't care about. |

I'm waiting until it's available in CD form & even then, the only reason I'll be in any rush to get it is to save the $1 or whatever I can when it first goes onsale.
The fact that it's only 37 minutes is pitiful. Is one of the experimental aspects of the CD how short he can make an album & convince as many suckers as possible to purchase it at full price? If I could bring myself to do it, I'd dig up my old EPs & maxi-singles & see how long those are in comparison. | |

Already noticed that this man said a lot of bullshit during his career? Real music by real musicians? A man who recorded music the most unreal way, one track after another, fake drums, fake horns, a whole lotta effects. It's a ridiculous statement. Recorded music is not about how its done, but about the result. It's good or bad. Not real or unreal. . Who cares about the length? Isn't it about quality? Does the quality justify the pricing for example? . Do it yourself? Go for it! The real musician Prince wasn't able to do this alone, he needed a producer. that it often has over the last several years, it tends to null my desire to listen to his older, far better, awesome stuff-- for quite a while and I resent that. I just tried to listen to it on Tidal.. after 5 mins of futzing about and hearing 'when doves cry' when i wanted to hear something new... I decided..Screw it... it'll be 'floating around' easily accessible and Cheap! soon enough! | |

Out of curiosity i checked one or two places online and i found the new album available for download in its entirety , in less time than it took me to hear One snippet of it on Tidal. | |

I haven't yet. I've just heard the 30 second snippets they allow me to listen to for free...Tried to sign up but they want me to put my credit card info in on the front end for something they say they aren't gonna charge me for for the first month. I just don't trust them enough to do that these days.
I did see it is up in certain places to download if I wanted to risk going and downloading it but just really haven't wanted to do that so far either. I do want to hear it though just to see if its as awful as I think from hearing the snippets and as awful as people who've heard it seem to be saying it is. "Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" I've only heard the 30 second snippets on Tidal. Can't wait 4 the released so I can pick-up my copy. I will not be joining Jay- Z's Tidal. He will not get a penny of my money. Never liked him and sorry Prince is doing business with his rich conceited ass.
