I haven't. Not terribly interested to be honest. I'll take a listen when it's easily available.

Actually make that a sad day for you! Prince is doing just fine

lol For Real, like Prince give a damn about this fool and thats one fool at that! razz Boy's got plenty of bank, he don't need Revolution. Now if it was 1000's or tens of 1000s of fans he was losing he may care about it.

I can't believe y'all aren't tempted to hear how bad it is. Aren't you curious? It's like a partial-birth abortion set to music. How can you not be curious?!? Come on, watch the world burn!

I find it interesting that people visit a Prince fans site this often but can't be bothered to listen to his new album. That's not a veiled jab at anyone, I truly find that interesting.

That said, there are plenty of times I've rushed out to buy something, but when I got home with it, I let it sit in the bag unused and even unexamined for weeks. Strange.

I haven't, and have absolutely no intentions of joining Tidal (free trial or not) to listen to it.

Normally I buy a new Prince cd the first day it's available.
I get to listen without too much outside input.
This time I couldn't do that.
Instead I got to read a ton
of fans reactions plus numerous reviews before
hearing the music.
I find I have fairly low expectations for HITNRUN
yet I'm really looking forward to hearing it.
Very different way to hear Prince's New music.

I haven't heard it either. I'm waiting for a CD release of some kind and won't download it for free. Getting membership to Tidal is not my cup of tea, though I might have ten years ago.

Having a family - especially a little boy in kindergarten - takes up most of my time now. smile

Being Blunt... *Im speaking for myself...

Prince's new Music has been more of a let down for the past (20+ years) than its been a positive experience.. (Im a fan since 1979)

4 those of you who haven't, you are not missing anything.

.

I have but wish I had waited, at least them I would have known it was a dog, before I found it out for myself. I was particularly scathing when it came out, but now I seem to not mind it. Still a lot of it is throwaway and mediocre at best and the best tracks are a 2013 song and a song written in 1992 for Rosie and Mayte.

.

I agree too 37 minutes is short, we got 90 minutes of new music last year mad

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

I heard it.
I love prince and I m everything but a hater
I have a few questions tho
real musical by real musicians? What happened ?
A single is released (hardrocklover) and the album versions are exactly the same... how lazy?
37minutes? Feels like a scam
I ve always admired prince for the wild and amazingly talented side.once uncomparable
but this? I can do it myself.

Already noticed that this man said a lot of bullshit during his career?
Real music by real musicians? A man who recorded music the most unreal way, one track after another, fake drums, fake horns, a whole lotta effects. It's a ridiculous statement. Recorded music is not about how its done, but about the result. It's good or bad. Not real or unreal.
.
Who cares about the length? Isn't it about quality? Does the quality justify the pricing for example?
.
Do it yourself? Go for it! The real musician Prince wasn't able to do this alone, he needed a producer. Isn't it wonderful that you can do music nowadays without having to pay lots of studio costs like back in the day?
[Edited 9/11/15 3:46am]

I must be a little nostalgic but to me (and prince I guess) à song is its own trip and has its own universe. I mean let s take purple Rain but non only of course. Every single was once dubbed with its own extended mix. Pink cashmere is 6 min Because its quality and music content needed it. All the critics or purple music needed their own space.
I can go forever like this. But Today I don t literally complaint for the lenghth by itself but for the fact that there should be more on an album than 3 minutes single track.
I remember Wendy melvoin stating " prince hasn t started to show yet how talented he can be" a few years ago.
I think this album illustrates it.
I m a musician too but I dont feel submerged by the quality of it all like before.
I absolutely can t do a symbol or gold expérience album but this? I can come close.

It's nothing like that folks, don't listen to this bad bad man.

HitnRun works best if you haven't been paying much attention to Prince's music and haven't heard This could be us, Fallinginlove, the X-Face -- and perhaps if you start on track 2.

It's a dance party for casual, younger fans, not us obsessed folks.

I haven't and I won't if it stays exclusive on Tidal.

Same for me. I'll add it to my next Amazon order of dying formats, when there's a few things I want and HnR is actually available. I may try it the naughty way, if I come across it, but i won't be hunting for it.
