What does seem clear to me is the dwindlng interest in either Prince, the org, or both. I have never seem so few posts (good or bad) on a new album release day.

Based on the sales of AOA and Plectrum, I'd say the hardcore herd has been thinned out quite a bit in the last few years.

This must be true. Even among fans, we've gone from "perhaps one of the greatest albums of a generation" (Sign O The Times) to "I didn't think I'd feel this way but I actually quite like it" (HITNRUN). Shocking really.

I'm NEVER satisfied if the music isn't complete. If I feel there was something left on the table that didn't happen in the song, or if I feel there is a crap lead vocal, and cornball vox... nothing can save theat song for me. A beat alone won't get me hyped. HitNRun, is about the beats. There is about 2 min or so of sonic bliss out of the entire set and the rest is a day late and more than a few dollars short. Meh... For the vision they have for Tidal, I think it's good enough. I think it's an album that will do what they wanted. For me personally, I don't need it. But I'm not pissed at Prince for making it. I don't care if they fire Josh or not. I've got the old-school catalog and I can't say I need new music from Prince. If he attracts new fans with his Beats By Josh approach, I'm all for it.

Don't worry NewPowerToad, this is all perfectly normal.

Saying things like that on the Org is like trying to break a feral catfight: you need thick clothing, giant rubber boots and massive welding gloves (plus the mask)

Maybe there still interested in Prince , but bored of the org and some of the people on it. Lots of fans have left the org overs the years and not because of Prince.

Obviously, everyone's opinion about what they like is valid. I do think its inappropriate for someone to insult someone else (or a group of people) for liking something they don't like [or vice versa].

Example -

Orger 1 - "AOA and Plec Elec suck. Prince is just painting by numbers. I'll keep my money."

Orger 2 - "AOA and Plec Elec suck. Prince is just painting by numbers. I'll keep my money. Anyone who likes this bullsh%& must have dropped from Prince's sack. Anybody who likes this crap doesn't know music and should quit worshipping Prince."

Some people would say example 2 is well within their rights of stating their opinion. I agree, but the insults really are unnecessary. Everyone is different, but I can't imagine you just walk around in "real life" hurling insults at people who like what you don't like.

Example - (Starbucks)

Customer 1 - "Let me have a Salted Caramel Mocha Frappuccino. I don't like the Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino at all. It does not taste good."

Orger 2 (within earshot of Customer 1) - "Let me have a Double Chocolaty Chip Frappuccino. Any moron that orders the Salted Caramel Mocha don't know sh*@ about coffee anyway. That crap isn't even good. That tastes like piss and diarrhea."

lol I tickle myself... Anyway, example(s) 2 is how a lot of the discussions on the org end up in contentious debates.

Heh--in these cases when I have a spare minute, I'll click to the end of the morass to see what rude, crank-case argument a reasonable discussion has devolved into. LOL! Happens a lot, it seems, and I can't always aviod rubbernecking. Trolls may be everywhere on the Org!
