Questlove Pissy Prince Won't Burp Him and D'angelo https://instagram.com/p/7UXlHGwa3V/?taken-by=questlove
I wish Questlove would get over himself and quit thinking that everything D'angelo and Questlove does Prince has to come and watch like a proud father watching his sons playing little league. These two really don't know how they come across when they express their fandom like this. They make it seem like when Prince dies that will live in Paisley Park to carry on Prince's legacy. I couldn't imagine Prince telling Stevie Wonder :I'm disappointed you didn't come to my gig at Paisley Park-I'm the only who gives a damn about your place in music". He's not joking I am siding with quest on this one Prince will go see Chris Brown before he sees D I think he does it on purpose Maybe he thinks that D and crew are nothing but a cover band. Or that the music is too much in the past for him. Or he's scared to see a band better than his. My $ is on that last one..lol minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

I think Prince is more or less in fighting mode right now, with his new album dropping, his last few fllopping, royalties drying up, bills piling up, relaunching his career through Tidal and the promise of a major windfall, betting that these Beats by Josh pay-off, and if Tidal pays at all, then that's more than he got from Warners for AOA, No.1 album in the country, and it still don't pay, and people wonder why he says his CONtract's slavery, it's unsavorey, the people rave for me, but at the end of the day my pay is not enough for me.

Where did you read his royalties are drying up and his bills are piling up?

The music industry is dying. People are not paying for music anymore. There is a market with streaming, but it's relatively small. Prince/Tidal think they can grow it and capitalize. In the meantime though, everybody's royalties are drying up, which means you have to be on tour or reality tv, TMZ, or the front for some tech product or it's like musical chairs and you don't have a seat.

Prince is many things but a stupid businessman he's not And he will never be struggling for cash or broke As long as he can get on stage and collect his $2mil performance fee...all is well. Don't be fooled by this label/streaming crap He has his masters.... minor keys and drugs don't make a rollerskate jam

It's a miracle he's got any money at all considering all the incredibly poor business decisions he's made.

Prince should have seen D'Angelo. It was a fantastic show. Prince would really enjoy it. And D clearly loves Prince. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Show me where I said Prince was stupid. I said he was working and just like everybody else in the industry looking for new sources of revenue because people do not buy music anymore.

They would still challenge him creatively and as been made quite clear the last 15 or so years...Prince can't have that. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

hahaha. Yeah. That's a possibility. I don't want D ruined. He should stay away from the Park! "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"

Quest maybe and that would be tragic but I don't think so for D'Angelo, though. I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

That doesnt prove that his bills are piling up. Do you have access to his accounts or something?
and how do you know what he got from Warner bros. in terms of AOA. can you source some facts to FACTUAL details of his contract?

Do you mean D'Angelo? Perhaps but then when he came out all zombiefied after Prince's attention span has gotten bored, I'd return the favor, with a "Didn't I tell your dumb ass so?" I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

The mutual dissing between Prince and D´Angelo´s camp is pretty ridiculous. I like both artists a lot and I know that people from both camps have mutual respect for each other ( but I´m not talking about Prince himself....don´t know how he feels about D these days). Prince dissed D pretty hard in the video for Daisy Chain back in the late 90s, and Questlove made a really dumb remark about Prince forgetting the bridge for Ballad Of Dorothy Parker and how D and him had to help Prince out during an aftershow, and Prince dissed them back when he invited them to Paisley when D´Angelo played in Minneapolis more than a decade ago. -. And also keep in mind that Alan Leeds and Jesse Johnson are part of D´Angelo´s entourage, which is a great thing, but probably not so great for Prince after those two voiced their honest opinions about Prince numerous times in the past. I have seen D´Angelo´s show both times when he was here (2001 and 2015), and they were both great. The last time I saw Prince was that legendary, disastrous Cologne show a few years ago. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Who knows, he may have. Prince is a lurker, and likes to appear as if he's magical and ghostlike, disappearing and reappearing places unaware of others. It's his thing, I guess, always has been. Trust though, I'll bet he was very aware of D'Angelo being there, because he's always watching and listening, keeping up to date with things. Who knows what's going through the guys head as to why he wants D'Angelo to think he doesn't care or whatever, it's Prince, he's just that way. Many of you should know his ways by now, he hasn't changed them at all. He's still doing the things he does when he first came on the scene, still trying to be the mysterious type.
