Best non-Prince performances on Prince songs What are your 3 most favorite non-Price performances on Prince songs? For me, it's: 1. Head, Dr. Fink -- that outer-spacey keyboard solo is so, so funky 2. Everywhere, John Blackwell -- the drums are off the hook, speed and accuracy and soul, and the guest vocalists are great, too 3. Cloreen Baconskin, Morris Day -- in the pocket and expressive. Is there a video anywhere of Morris Playing the drums? "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

1. The guitar solo by Levi Seacer, Jr. on "She Spoke 2 Me" 2. The drums by Sheila E. on "Alexa de Paris" 3. The classic "Little Red Corvette" solo by Dex Dickerson

I thought about including your # 1 or 3 on my list. And I didn't even realize until now that it's Sheila on the drums in Alexa de Paris. That's very cool. The drums are on that track are great. Now I have a top 6 performances. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"

Rosie's vocals on Diamonds and Pearls John Blackwell on Everywhere (I concur) Tony M on Live 4 Love (best rap verse in his catalogue, he finally got it right)

For me, it's a toss up between D&P (song) and Nothing Compares 2 U. I'll give a very slight nod to D&P. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"
