A short but interesting interview article with Mayte about her relationship with Prince. Nothing new but nice to hear she bears him no animosity and is complimentary towards him which is cute.

I have a really soft spot for Mayte.. (yes....! still....)..


She was/ is so sweet, sexxy and they were "a perfect couple" (from my "fan" point of view), imho...

But of course Prince "screw her up", broke their marriage, imho I don't think he is that easy to live with. At least Mayte gave it a try, from 1996 to was it 1999 or 2000 when they broke up their relation, their marriage?

Actually I think Prince is a pain to live with... but still I wish him good luck in his next try.....

And Mayte? - she is such an angel, always will be imho...

The survival rates of couples who survive after the death of a child are very small. It is a tragedy that is hard to weather. My ex-wife turned to perscription pills to deal with the pain. Them going on Oprah and pretending their child was still alive shows how deep that pain was for them. A lot of people try to live in denial when something like that happens. The song "One of Your Tears" leads me to believe that Prince never worked through the grief process. Of course that is just me guessing I have no way to know that or not. But I too will always have a soft spot for Mayte. Maybe one day they will get back together!

I think the screwing up Mayte thing starts with her mother who pretty much sold her to a popstar as a virgin.

Start there Mayte and you'll be way less screwed up.

I didn't know she had a daughter now, that's really nice. I'm glad for her.

She always made me cringe. She seemed to have the IQ of a lettuce leaf.

Her comment about him being 'really, really, really funny' is nice We all know he has a hell of a sense of humour.

She's a dancer, not a stem field scientist. Besides, she didn't get a college education or anything, she basically left school and joined Prince.

She had a hot temper at times on the reality show Hollywood Exes but - other than that she's a sweet person. I wish her and Prince would have worked out as well. They made a gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous couple.

^^A gorgeous couple does not a marriage make. Prince has had many gorgeous and beautiful women in his life, and they've made for a gorgeous pairing with him also, but not one lasted.

She was a straight up spoiled brat on that show. She came off very immature and entitled. I'm not surprised though as I never did buy into her "innocent and sweet as sugar" act.

Although I don't condone that she lost her temper so much on the show, she is passionate about animal rights. Do you not have something you're passionate about?

I can't really remember properly, but didn't the others wear the fur to purposely antagonise her too?

I mean, they KNEW she doesn't like fur. They're her 'friends'. I mean take for example, I don't use the word 'retard' around my friend because I know for a fact she doesn't like it. Same thing here. Seems kinda disrespectful to her if they are her 'friends'.

Edit: Forgot to add that I know it's a reality show too and they do fabricate stuff like this for good viewing. So what you saw might not of really even been her 'really' angry? She might of just acted so angry because the directors told her to.

I am passionate about animals and volunteered with a pet rescue for seven years. Will be doing so again this summer. You brought up a perfect example of her immaturity. The way she burned Nicole's fur hat was out of line. You don't damage someone else's property to make a point. You have a discussion like a civilized adult. She also knocked Nicole's expensive bowl or vase off of the table and refused to apologize. She was pretty rotten that entire show. It wasn't a good look.

They probably did wear the fur the piss her off and to make the statement that they aren't going to be bullied by her childish antics. I can't stand when people wear fur either but I would not infringe upon someone else's right to do so. Don't get me wrong, I'd be calling them all kinds of sons of bitches in my head, but to go and damage their property - no. I think I would only get physical if there was a case of animal abuse. There was also a scene where she was going to boil a lobster or something to get back at someone. But yet she loves animals. That was very hypocritical. Don't know if she boiled the lobser as I didn't watch that episode.

I know it's reality t.v. but why would she make herself come off looking like a total douche on purpose? Is she really that hard up for money? If she was just acting like a snot for the cameras, she did a really good job at it.
