Nicely done aside from the most prolific artist of all time part.

I wrote "one of" in the version I sent them. They chopped about 200 words overall for the edit. I tend not to talk in absolutes when I write, usually. But that's what editors do, I guess
Glad you liked it! |

I very nearly switched it out with "Come", which I actually prefer. But I think TGE is probably a bit more accessible to a newer fan, which is the slant they wanted for the article. And TMBGITW was such a huge song here that it's like an anchor point for people. Even if they don't know much Prince, that's a song they know since it was a #1 here in the charts. |

Congratulations on the byline! Heck, also on meeting Prince and not having him blow you off. You did something right. Check out The Mountains and the Sea, a Prince podcast by yours truly and my wife. More info at https://www.facebook.com/TMATSPodcast/

Is that the reason TGE has Come's release year of '94 instead of '95? Anyway, it's a very good article and starting point for a newbie!

Cool, I'm going to read it later Welcome 2 The Dawn

Yeah, nice piece of work. I'm especially pleased that you put 3121 in the top 5, because it doesn't get a whole lotta love here.

But what kind of a newspaper is Eastern Eye? Local paper/entertainment/something else?

It's a national newspaper aimed at the British-Asian (Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi) community.
Good catch! Yep, that's my mistake.... oops.

Great job! But a few questions though...in the "Prince on Film" section for Sign 'O' The Times, it states "Prince never fails to disappoint in a live scenario"...if I've unraveled the semi-triple negative properly, that means he "always disappoints"--which is not what I assume is meant to be conveyed(?) (Or am I reading that incorrectly?) And the year for The Gold Experience is listed as 1994...but it's 1995, correct? (There may be other "typos"--or mis-edits, or my misunderstandings--but that's all that stood out to me after a quick read...) But a great job regardless... "3123...that's next door to where the party be..."

Welp. That one slipped past! Still..... I think people will understand the intent
And yeah, typo on TGE, I originally put Come there and must have forgotten to change the year. |

A simple mistake of course but very funny I got two sides... and they're both friends.

Actually. he is the most prolific artists of all time if you factor in several parameters. Nice, Case. [Edited 6/7/15 16:45pm] "He's a musician's musician..."
