I'm currently about 3/4 of the way there to having Purple Rain hair. I've always wanted to do it beacuse, honestly, it's fucking badass and I don't care

Just wondering if anyone here had Purple Rain hair back in the day (or now, I guess ) and if so would you be willing to post a pic of yourself if you've got one?

I did. I had similar hairstyles all the way up until the Typhoon 'do. I had to draw the line there.

I had a similar style before Prince wore it - pretty sure I had mine that way by 1982. It took a perm and hot rollers – and about an hour of my time everyday – to achieve.

Your hair looks great so far Dandan, have you tried backcombing the roots so that it has more volume? Thats what I did when I did my Graffiti Bridge hair, a shit ton of backcombing lol

I honestly wish I had some pics. Aside from having great hair texture, a kick ass hairstylist that can work wonders with a pair of shears, a rattail comb and some hot curlers is an absolute MUST!

I couldn't make it unfortunately! It was my aunts birthday party the same night and I was kinda obligated (read forced ) to go How was it? What's the set-list like, do they do any lesser known tracks? I had a vague idea of what you looked like so I was planning on approaching you if I saw you haha
