Does anyone know if this was ever released without the circular cutout in the corner? I've come across a few of these now and they all seem to have it. Seems a shame as it's quite an interesting cover for this release. Any one know why? Any French orgers out there care to shed some light?

Yup, it's an odd one. Generally you see cut outs floating around of titles that didn't sell well (which I'd say includes Paisley Park?) but with this ALL seem to be cutouts. Almost like it was withdrawn from release at the last minute or something...

weird I have the 12" someplace... does that have one too?

on a side note: i swear my old Raspberry Beret 7" was raspberry colored...if you held it to light you could see the red... but a girlfriend took it! I have checked a few at shops and never saw one like that...

I have the french 7 inch "Controversy" - and this have a hole in the cover as well..

This is a different version to the one on your link - "And the Revolution" is missing from the cover...

Both are French releases. The one without the cutout appears to be an earlier misprint.
