I have to admit.. This was a 'sleeper' song for me and is now one of my Favorites!

I would Love to hear this with Prince on lead vocals!

Which leads to my question.. They list the vocals to Kristie Lazenberry and Marcy Ingvoldstad but to ME, they sound more like a male falsetto.. It's clearly not Prince, but I'm having a hard time believing the singers are girls tho..

This is a good song....probably would have been a huge hit single if it had been released in 1977

I'm pretty sure that those ladies are really singing the vocals doesn't sound like a man to me

There is no reason to doubt the credits. What I'd like is to hear the original before it was reworked in 85, but I think the tapes have been lost or it'd have been included in a later 94 East release alongside the rest. It is not known, I think, whether a version with P on vocals had been recorded at that time.

Sounds like men and women on it.

great great song..just as good as anything Prince ever made...i wonder what happened between him and Pepe Willie, that made P distance himself from all those 94East recordings....theres some good stuff they made together

these songs are as good as anything on P's first 2 LPs...Pepe' Willie's voice wasnt as dynamic as Prince's is/was....but he sounded cool to me...especially on If You See Me and Ill Always Love You...and Prince is playing some vicious rhythm guitar and keyboards all over those joints

i wonder Why is P mad at Pepe"...did Pepe do his cousin wrong when they were together?..or was it strictly business...

its the only song I like on that album.

There is no reason to doubt the official credit. Pepé Willie has never claimed P was singing on that song and Per Nielsen's research has never unearthed such an info either.

'My ears tell me it's Prince" isn't an acceptable argument. Please stop spreading lies.
