High Colonic And Voodoo Who

I really like High Calonic, Voodoo Who is cool but sounds like a rehearsal.

I need the whole of that Paisley Jam based on High Calonic.

Yes I had a WTF moment an hour ago when I saw this. Went to look for them(no luck yet).

Do they have the same vibe as The Flesh? Really interested in hearing these little tidbits.

Both would have fit very nicely on the Flesh. Voodoo Who is about 5 and a half minutes but ends upbruptly. Its basically a cover of Hendrix's "Villanova Junction" with some lyrics from Sade's "Is It A Crime". High Calonic is over ten minutes and the full jam

It really sounds like rehearsal as Prince is instructing the band during the song..

This is the case....and these 2 outtakes from The Flesh sessions are a new delight ...unfortunately VW the trax ends abruptly at 5.30s....the initial take of this Jam- song seems longer (beginning and ending)?

Sounds to me like High Calonic might have Prince on piano where the other Flesh sessions have Prince on drums.

Whats strange about these 2 tracks is I heard they were first played at the legendary "Jungle Love 85" prom. But that was in May of 1985 and these were recorded in December of 85. Well, I gotta say those kids were way ahead of the game or on some serious shit.

I think you might have some unhealthy fascination going on here. Please come back to us, Big Chick. We need you to be clearheaded about these things.

Okay, so two more leaked tracks. What's that make since BFTP 3.0? This is what I've seen mention of so far here on the org.

.

Telepathy (Prince vocal) -- incomplete version, 2:28

a set of Gett Off remixes by Steve Hurley, including the following (cut and pasted from Schlomo)

1. Hurley's Funky Mix
2. Hurley's Funky Dub
3. Silky House Mix (Seems related to the Thrust Dub but different than Thrust Mix)
4. Hurley's Funky 7
5. Silky House 7
6. Rosie's Dub (Same as on the promo)
7. Flutestramental (Same as on the maxi)

High Calonic

Voodoo Who

Song of the Heart (TV Mix) [I think I saw something about this on here, anyway]

.

Elsewhere I've seen references to some other tracks:

.

Get Wild (Prince vocal) - better than the previously circulating

SST (instrumental) - a snippet, I don't know if it's different from the earlier one

Can I Play with U - the description I saw said "short version clean," whatever that means. Maybe just a better clearer sounding version of the originally circulating short one?

Rhythm of Your Heart ("Prince version remix?")

Time (remix)

.

and a reference to "protege tracks" including but not limited to

.

The P (Tevin Campbell version)

Crystal City Cry (complete)

Your Love Is So Hard (Rosie Gaines version)

.

Are all of these tracks actually circulating in the general population at this point? Or are some of them still tightly held (or even non-existent)? So far I've only heard three of them (Telepathy and the two from this thread's title).

Sorry--failed to talk about these tracks, really. High Colonic makes me happy--I'm guessing the rest of the Paisley Jam is in someone's hands... it'd be nice if it got free sometime.

I really hope I hear High Colonic and Voodoo Who. They sound awesome.

The clearer version of Can I Play With U is stellar.

So this means that "Most Strongest Whiskey" must be out there somewhere as well, right? Everything else from "The Flesh" sessions has come out... A Couple of Miles, Voodoo Who, High Calonic, U Gotta Shake Something... hmm

.

.

.

Also, all the leaks in the past few years has just been mind-blowing to old-timers like me. I used to spend hours poring over my Per Nilsen's Prince book, wondering what the hell "Adonis & Bathsheba", and thought "Can I Play With U" was called "Red Riding Hood" for years... these are truly magical times. So thank you everyone making this possible!

Got to find these. Anything with Eric Leeds on it is a keeper.
