Which is a a better dance song "Now" or Housequake?" I have never been a fan of Housequake. I cannot understand why so many people like it but I know everyone is different. I usually skip it when I listen to SOTT. Last night I was listening to the Gold album and thought "man this song is way funkier than Housequake, it blows it out of the water." What do you guys think? | |

Like most of the songs on SOTT ,the live versions were so much better and that's what people have got in their heads when they think of "Housequake".The album version was flat compared to it. | |

You people are crazy...Housequake is a classic. Now is great too, but Housequake is too far above it to compare.
Add Erotic City to the equation and it trumps them all. |

I'm in your camp. Was suprised as all hell it was somewhat of a mainstream hit. That said its a timeless track and unique in the Prince catalog but way better live. |

About being able to dance to music: funk and HQ especially makes me wanna dance. But in general the more complex the beat the less people wanna dance to it. So disco and house were no coincidence. ;-) I love housequake more because of the dance between the beat and that heavy synth bass sound! | |
