I just listened to the whole album front to back (somewhat due to this thread) and I wouldn't change a damn thing. Its brilliant and this song fits and is in the perfect spot on the record. There are songs I used to think were a little weak (It, Slow Love) but no...now I don't agree...they belong on there too. I remember Paul McCartney responding to critics about the White Album being too long...It's the Beatles bloody White Album...shut up. Sorta the perfect response about Sign o the Times as well.

In A Large Room With No Light was too much Revolution on that one, and a Wendy & Lisa co-creation

IGBABN was a farewell nod to the Revolution

I usually skip IGTBABN when it comes and although I am not a fan of this song I wouldn't replace it for all the reasons stated. I would love to have Joy in Repetition instead of this song but Joy is such a sonically complex song like 3 Chains O' Gold (not equally as good, just complex) that it would've clashed with the complexity of Adore. I never really gave much thought to the tracklisting before but I think Prince got it right here. The man is a genius. And I'd take Slow Love over many of the other tracks by the way. Play Forever In My Life, Adore and Slow Love in that order and man you got a baby making soundtrack to end all time.

Replace IGBAN with Crystal Ball, Slow Love with Witness, U Got the Look with Rebirth of the Flesh or Joy in Repetition, and the album would be even better than it already is in my opinion.

I have never skipped IGBABN even once. Hell i'm gonna go listen to it now!
