"Power fantastic / Isn't your life elastic...."

For the longest time, I didn't care for that song because of what I thought was a particularly naff attempt to complete the rhyme.

Wait, that's NOT what he says? Shit.

Not only did I think that's what he said, I was disappointed when I found out it wasn't. I thought the "power fantastic" gave you a greater flexibility, you could reshape your life to fit any situation or desire. Ah well. Now I think it's not just an off rhyme, but not even a particularly interesting one.

I totally agree. I want my life to be elastic. Fuck this!

DAMMIT. Now I can't NOT hear "creamy pies." It not only ruins the song, but also makes me hungry for creamy pies. Grrrrr!

I still think the line in The Latest Fashion that most every place says is "If you thinking about ruling me ya better get abortions"

is really "If you're pregnate about ruling me ya better get abortions"

Oh I just remembered another one. This one's a little dirty though but I'm sure no one has a problem with this..
In "Can't Stop This Feeling I Got", I HONESTLY thought he said, "Everybody wants to see you die for the cum!" When he actually says something like "everybody wanna see you down for the count" lololololol I really like this song though, it makes me happy just like "Private Joy" does even though that song is about....

I had a Mormon friend in the car years ago who didn't cuss, didn't smoke, do drugs, no sex out of marriage when he dated... etc.

Well "Controversy" was playing and he started laughing uncontrollably. Then he asked, "Are they saying - "touch your pussy"?"

Until I joined the org, I thought Prince was singing in Extra Loveable "I want a virgin, baby. I don't think u heard me. I want a virgin, baby" only to learn he was singing "I'm on the verge of rape". And another - in Mountains, I heard "I say, someday, mountains and the sea..." when it's actually "I say it's only mountains and the sea".

"I like to watch."

I wonder if a psychologist could deduce anything from
these. A sort of aural ink blot test if you will!

I mean some people miss hear "touch your pussy" others hear stuff like "wampa doo" and "Apple dapple doo"

Perhaps in my case "all the poos in my bed" comes from a long forgotten childhood accident.

Bluu

In "Do Me, Baby," he sings: "Here we are in this big old empty room. Staring each other down."
.
For several years, I thought I was hearing: "Here we are in this big old empty room. In this dirty charter town."

.

In "Controversy", I thought he was speaking french saying _(unintelligable) "-Merci"

Awesome!! I was playing Controversy for a newbie friend of mine, and she said, "I like this song, but I don't like how he keeps saying 'Count your pussy'."

As for me, for about four years I thought he was saying, "Starfish," at the end of "Mountains." I kinda wondered if I was correct, but when SOTT came out and there was a song with the word 'starfish' in the title, my smug ass self was like, 'see, I am right about Mountains.' sad

That´s actually a great pick up line. lol

Have to try this one out real soon. So poetic, so romantic. Especially during a candlelight dinner.

Or right before having sex.

"So fishy tonigt....the bread is soft; it adds to your sex."

Greatest line ever. And sooooo cryptic.
