Actually the name is McGoo. Prince gave the name to James McGregor, who was an equipment tech for the band in the late 80's to the mid 90's at Paisley Park. Since, he has established a long list of artists whom he has toured with and is in constant demand. Maybe I can get the 411 on how the song PoorGoo came about for ya.

i remember hearing that prince and Poorgoo had a falling out with each other around or just after the gold experience tour.

Both Boris and Sartoria are both right. The title of this track from The Undertaker is a loose reference to crew member James "Magoo" McGregor, a friend of the insufferable Game Boyz.
