Hadn't watched this for a long time but I put it on last night - didn't realise how fucking good it is

To see him, Michael and Sonny jamming is cool - just a shame its not longer

He looked so crazy in those dark days with those nasty curly side-burns and the look on his face like someone ran over his cat

anyone else think this is hugely under-rated/over-looked?

I hate 2 be the first 2 knock this video on your forum,but this is the worst Prince visual i have ever seen.Poor story line if thats what u wanna call it.Poor selections of songs.I love Prince and his efforts but this must of been a bad day.I give it 1 star just cuz he's a bad muthafucka on the axe.

I wasn't too impressed with it. It's still better than a lot of non-Prince stuff, but not among his best IMHO. I thought the girl-on-drugs-vomit etc stuff was pretty cringeworthy, and the guitar playing is impressive but also a bit directionless. Like he's thinking: oh I'll try this, no maybe that's better, hey what does this Boss pedal do, look this is pretty neat lick etc. And I still wonder why with so many great songs of his own, Prince would want to do Honky Tonk Women.

Doesn't it make anyone else dizzy to watch it? Fade to Prince on guitar, invert the colours, fade to girl in drug haze, fade back to Prince with inverted colour effectd, revert to proper colour, cross-fade to girl in drug haze, invert colour effects, cross-fade back to Prince with camera at wierd angle, cross-fade back to girl in drug haze with camera at wierd angle, and on and on and on...

Music's great, love the stripped down feel, but I just can't watch the video, it's like they tried to make the performance more interesting with lots of outdated 'Bohemian Rhapsody' type effects, and in my opinion it spoils the performance.

The live performance is all on point (bar replacing Dolphin's original live take with the studio version of course) but as always on his home VHS releases he has to throw in some weak silly storyline to take away from the music. I always have to fast forward the bit where she throws up, hate that mess...
