Planet Earth came out as a newspaper covermount in the UK on my birthday, by the time I woke up here in the states it was "available" online. It was a little over a week before I could buy a copy on CD but I still got to enjoy a new album on my birthday!

A couple years later, the jazz version of In A Large Room With No Light streamed on my b-day. That was cool, too!

Purple Rain - on June 25, 1984. I tuned 11 that day. I remember it like it was a tuesday, and had no idea PR had been relased that day, either. I was busy playing Atari.

on my 16th birthday 'Controversy' was released - I started working in a record shop shortly after and it was the album that got me started on this very long road
