PRINCE LIVE - What's your dream line up? Just saw some live footage from the Diamonds and pearls tour and it got me thinking... What is your dream prince band line-up? Here's mine: Drums - Michael B Bass - Sonny T Keys - Dr Fink Keys - Mr Hayes Guitars - Wendy Guitars - Levi Horns - Maceo P, Greg B, Mike P B Vox - Rosie Gaines I would take John Blackwell if Michael B couldn't do it and Renato could step in on keys... Ps Prince with new haircut playing a classic cloud guitar! "Still Crazy 4 Coco Rock"

Close to my list but I would need to remove Fink, Wendy, Levi, Rosie and the horns . RIP

as a touring band, younger, fresh (untried) players seem to gel better with Prince - but as a recording outfit i'd love for Prince to get back with some older band members to see if any of the old magic might return!
I would have Sheila or Michael (drums) Sonny (bass) Dr Fink (Synths) Lisa (Piano) Eric and Atlanta (Horns) Wendy, Miko or Mike Scott (Rhythm guitar) Prince (lead vox/guitar)

How about using new musicians?
Michelle N'deg on bass, vocals.
The dude from Bird and the Bee on keys.
Chick Corea on keys.
Some decent horn players.
Vernon Reid on Guitar.
Corey Glover, Sandra St Victor on backing vocals.
This kid on drums:
He outplays Prince. wow. Prince may make him cry though. All you others say Hell Yea!!

now THAT is a lineup. I love to see Dez get the props he deserves as still the best guitarist that Prince ever had. Renato is hands down the best keys player. Micheal B and Blackwell are so close that I would go with either - of course, with Sheila E right behind them. IN fact, I would gcreate a percussion position for her in the band.
