I hope that everyone who has said that Prince is their favourite artist has bought the 2 new albums. The amount of people who post on this board that claim to be fans and haven't bought the new albums is crazy. People moan about record sales being low. There is no hope if his own fans don't buy the records.

Why should they buy something if the sound of the music on it makes vomit come up in their throat? Just because Prince is the one that made it? Buying an album that sounds like something you absolutely despise is not being a fan, that's being a blind worshipper. As much as I absolutely can't stand to even be in the same room with shit hop, neo stool, or whatever else the current mainstream sound on the airwaves consists of these days, I'd be an ass kissing worshipper if I bought and praised Prince's latest project that sounds like it was recorded with the intention of fitting in with the current mainstream bullshit in an attempt to gain their acceptance and get their sales. I would be totally hypocritical if I gave Prince a pass for making the same type of mess that I'd be shitting all over if someone else made it. One thing about Andy is, I'm my person with a mind of my own and not two faced at all. I live my life to please Andy, not Prince. I'm a fan, not a fam.

.

Yes, Prince is my favorite artist and the reason he continued being my favorite artist for so many years, is because even after the mainstream turned to bullshit when shit hop and neo stool took over, he kept right on throwing down hard even after everyone else stopped. Well, it appears that now, he, himself has finally stopped also and instead of trying to beat the llittle boring ass motherfuckers, he's now trying to sell out and join them. I sure haven't moaned aobut the sales of the latest project being low. If anything, they're too high. You may see it as there's no hope for Prince if his own fans stop buying his music, but I see it as there's no hope for ever jamming again if fans reward their favorite artist for selling out. And considering that Prince himself has made statements on several occassions about the state of current music being bullshit, yes, he has definitely sold out on this latest one. Prince may be a hypocrit but I'm not, and I'll not spend one dime of my hard earned money on something with a sound that makes vomit come up my throat. If you reward someone for selling out, they'll sell out again and you'll never get any jams. Like Don Knotts used to say, nip it in the bud.

Is this a real question? Uh yeah he's my favorite musician! By far. For many reasons. His music just soothes my ears and mind and soul. Not even a close second.

Nope, I like several acts more, but my favorite one is Johnnie Taylor.

If you're referring to the Tony M era, hell that don't count because Miss Prince was young and dumb and ain't the first queen to embarass himself while trying to get some dick and he won't be the last either. But the bitch is pushing 60 now. She ain't no spring chicken no more, her wig has been through a cat fight, and these little rough trade boys ain't studying her ass. They want them some Justine Bieber these days.
