I can answer that with a sure yes. There are others music that I love and listen to, but Prince has always been my #1.

I agree. He's the greatest one-man band in pop history. I have had more fun listening to Prince than any other artist. He's on the short list of my all-time favorites along with John Coltrane, Duke Ellington and Sam Cooke.

I would say Prince is 1-a and Stevie Wonder is 1-B in my favorite musician. Both can take a comb and make music and take a nothing beat and make it sound orchestral, jazzy, and or any kind of genre there is , at a whim.

I'm at the point in my life where having a #1 artist is something like a child's toy, something I used to value a lot but now have put up on a shelf. Prince is not in the running for this because at this point his music is more like a religion to me.

Sometimes, sometimes not. I would say Prince has been consistently my favourite, but I also give up on him quite regularly and go elsewhere. Currently my favourite musicians are Gomez. Loving what they do. Prince has taken a back seat once again. It is just too time consuming and frustrating to be forever locked into Prince fandom. And with less and less stellar music being released, it makes it harder and harder to keep him on the pedestal he always used to occupy.
