I've been a longtime lurker and have seen this track get bashed quite a bit.

Is there anyone here that actually likes it? I really love it and its one of my favorites from SOTT/DF/CB/etc.

I really love the music, especially those horns. They sound so damn good.

Its not as good as Adore But of course i like it

But then I also like the other song on side 2 that always seems to get kicked between the legs around here: It.

The two songs on SOTT I've always felt indifferent about are Play In The Sunshine and U Got The Look.

Love the horns! Also love the sound he has on the drums on this one.

would be interesting to know how Carol King was involved, as she has a writing credit on the song.

i'd be a bit miffed he she wrote all the lyrics. ????

Everytime I hear it I think to myself "Oh boy, Can't wait for the funky groove in Hot Thing in 3,2,1...*Skips song*". I really don't like it and dislike it hugely on SOTT.

I know, right? I'm a hopeless romantic, walking Hallmark movie of a guy so this song is right up my alley, haha

Love everything about the song......the music as well as the lyrics.......

Well, I agree with you about It.

Can't say I agree about Slow Love; when I listened to the album constantly, Slow Love and It's Gonna Be a Beautiful Night were the ones that I was most likely to skip to get to what came after.

Yup. The two Revolution songs are the weakest on the album

Hey. Slow Love ain't got that "Aooohhh, aoooohhhh!!!" scream that IGBABN had though. Fucking funky guitar loop throughout the whole song.

My favorite line is " You can see through race car drivers, let me show you what I'm made of..."

I confess, when I first got the album in '87, it didn't really pull me in (despite its 'Under the Cherry Moon' vibe).

That said, its appearance in the Sign o' the Times film totally sold it for me, and I've been in love with it ever since.

The killer line/killer voicing is "Love's in your eyes..." Wendy and Lisa or whoever..."in your eyes, eyes" Prince -"Eyes never lie".

Yes. The horns in the song are awesome.
