Not sure how anyone could be dissapointed by this. We already know a tour is in the works... we've known that for weeks surely - the girls have been talking about looking forward to touring in every interview.

Hopefully they're planning to premier some as yet unplayed songs. It'll actually be interesting to see what/if any effect this has on the albums.

Hell he'll probably show up in a few skits too. That might be fun.

And millions of people still watch it and he gets to show off his live skills to them.

This MEGA SnL per4mance will b the HIGHEST rated of the season! Both r MEGA fans of eachother.

It'll b a MASTERPIECE event!!! Both have signed MEGA DEALS! Paramount just picked up barely a few weeks ago Chris's new project. He wrote, produced & is starring in "Top Five" which is rare a movie is sold that quickly. Plus of course 's MEGA resigning with wb,reclaiming his Masters & his critical acclaimed double release, that both debuted @ number #1.

I'm not disappointed. I am annoyed that I let myself get so swept up in the hype from @purplessence, that's all.

The Grammy's and SNL are the best TV shows to perform live on.

Do you not remember the Fury preformance, it was brillant.

With Chris Rock as the host, we may see him pop up in a sketch.

Last week the SNL ratings hit an all-time low. Perhaps they are pulling an "Arsenio" and trying to boost the ratings. Prince should have done Letterman. Or maybe Fallon again. Not SNL.

Excuse me if this was already talked about in all the pages.. but isnt' this the FOURTH Time Prince has been on SNL? I recall him as a young "pup" doing something raw and gritty.. then he did "Electric Chair" then "Fury" now this time .. Everyone keeps saying 3rd time??

I'd love to see him do a skit or 2.. but I highly doubt it...

This will also take place the night after Halloween. Trick or Treat!!

I think they're not counting 1989 and the Electric Chair performance because that wasnt an actual "episode"...it was the 25th anniversary prime time special.

Amen. @Purplessence was making it sound like a tour only because Funkenberry posted the press release from WB last week saying a tour was forthcoming so they thought that was the news. Funny. She was begging DrFunk for followers and he would retweet em, most likely because the camp had a gun to his head. He got them a LOT of his followers. Each person that follows essence follows doc. Now they are posting articles about the SNL appearance, not the doc's of course, that are not even getting as many hits as the doc's. 3rdeyegirl has been doing the same to him over the past year. Not sure why they are distancing themselves from him when he posts about them and does a show about them EVERY week. The Time article @purplessence retweeted had 300 facebook likes. The link 3rdeyegirl tweeted to EW has 500. Funkenberry without the support of 3rdeye or @purplessence has 1.4K likes. Unlike EW and Time, Funkenberry is independant so that is more impressive. Note to @purplessence, @3rdeyegirl, and the Prince camp, stop dogging Funkenberry who has been mr. reliable to the Prince community. It is pathetic that boy is so broke and has crazy health issues. Also, stop having accounts hyping up a tour announcement that was not a tour announcement!

lol. Sorry Kcool. I Love everything that Prince has done over the past few years and the doc's involvement with all things purple, to steal a quote from you, has been a masterpiece. When Prince had nothing going on the past few years, funkenberry was given gems from the camp and news tidbits that kept us informed. That's all. Not trying to slam anyone but just calling em like gramma told me, calling a spade a spade.
