Please tear this peice of shit a new one in your next podcast and i hope he hears it. Can't believe he has dumbed himself down so much. I'm embarrassed for him....plus it makes me look like a dick after bragging about how musically advanced he is to non-believers and he drops something like this peice of crap and they laugh at it and me. If this song or any other gets slagged off on the Peach and Black AOA review podcast I'm going to blow up the Sydney Opera house, then they will never get their orchestrated Prince concert.

Enjoyed this line from Billboards review of the song...
FUNKNROLL" starts out fuzzy and funky before seguing into a hyphy-esque jam. Yes, hyphy -- Prince is dabbling in the Bay Area hip-hop subgenre that peaked in the mid '00s. Why? Because he's Prince, dammit, and he can do whatever he wants.
Thats right dammit!
[Edited 9/19/14 16:14pm] The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

The more I listen to this, the more I'm appreciating just how brilliantly constructed this version of the song is, regardless of who's involved in the production of the final release. I haven't played a Prince song on repeat like this for a long time. This really ought to be a huge hit. Hope it is.

Hahaha. Been blocked by 3rdEye on twitter for having an opinion. Furthering the notion of insecurity, I'm sure.
A healthy, focused artist would welcome feedback in any form....that's not happening in "yes" people prince land, though. Kind of makes me wish Bart was on twitter, he would make them look so stupid with his no nonsense approach. There's nothing healthy about relentlessly criticizing an artist on an almost daily basis for well over a decade. It's just like in real life, you are perfectly within your right to dislike or even hate someone, but needing to repeat it over and over for years is petty and intolerant. I don't like half the songs released for PlEl so far and I don't have a problem with songs I dislike being released -- since when is everything supposed to please me? I'd write a merciless review anytime, I can write one that will make paint peel just from the vapors, but it is a dubious pleasure. I don't get off pissing all over what other people like repeatedly, it is self-important, like I am so convinced I have all the answers and better taste than anyone, and must absolutely let the world know that I have this superior knowledge and taste over and over and over. Right after I bought it in college, a girl I was in love with came by to tell me she was going out with my best friend. I was listening to that album when she stopped by and it got stuck on repeat. For like two hours. Just that maxi single. It is the soundtrack to my emotional devastation. "Drop that stereo before I blow your Goddamn nuts off, asshole!"
