Didn't listen to sample first. I liked hearing the song live and I liked the radio rip, so knew I'd like the song even if I wasn't keen on the production. But as it happens, I like it. Particularly the last minute and a half.

I loved the radio leak, so hopefully the whole song will be ok when I listen in full but I'm not convinced yet. Oh well, only got to wait until next Friday, or sooner if it leaks.

Isn't it supposed to be a digital single for those who pre-ordered?

I listened to this a few times this morning and dont think its that bad. I rather enjoy it. Certianly not a classic track and obviously a remix but its kinda funky.

I've changed my mind on this now after playing it in the car a few times.

I love the PE version of this so on first listen this paled in comparison.

The last couple of minutes are great, love the synths,I really like the guitar, which reminds me of something else I can't quite recall.

I think it's okay as a remix of the track, but I really can't imagine how it will work in context of the album. I freaking LOVE the original version, and am so very glad we'll be getting that on PE.

If I had a time machine to take me back to my DJing days, I'd love to play both versions back-to-back and see which got more dancefloor action.

I don't listen to samples, it ruins the fun of discovering a song, like seing too much of a movie in a trailer, only worse.

heard the snippet this morning and thought sand in my eye would be more fun. Just got the emauil to download it and think this song is fantastic. Unlike U Know which took a while to sink in, this just caught me by surprise. Very different for Prince and a refreshing departure from what was becoming too much of a norm. I suspect that this thread will go the same way as the U Know thread - negative at first and then the positive will show up once it has sunk in.

Loved Clouds and U Know. This one, not so much. Feels like it's been produced to death- squeezed the life out of it.

Me too. Could hear a 1:30 sample and its not very good. High expectations for this track....dashed

They just tweeted a link out a link to the song on youtube. Listening to it and the synth breakdown sounds like a sports arena mix. Can't belive he threw this (up) on the original album configuration. It should be a remix on an EP at best.

Well, one things for damn sure. There ain't nobody who can accuse him of putting out by the numbers stuff he's done a 100 times before with this album. This is... different!

I'm sittting thinking what to say but I'm just confused. The original is such a head bobber and this just isn't. The start was awesome though and I'm not sure about the last minute, that might be good. I'm very, very happy that I've listened to some of these songs now so it won't be such a shock when I hear the album.

Here's a question though. If this wasn't Prince, would we ever give it a second spin?
