What would you say?

This question is all about the working enviorment between you & P.

How do you (HONESTLY) think it would work?

I am SUPER shy & socially awkward. So I'd probably look away from him or look at the floor.

He would do all the talking & I'd probably just nod & do the work.

He would probably try to showcase my talents, I'd probably hide somewhere; BUT I wouldn't stay long cause you know its Prince.

I'd probably ask him about some basic stuff. Ya know

I'd probably be thinking some nasty thoughts in my mind which would cause me to stare.

LOL How about you? I'd probably freak out to myself but remain cool the whole process through.

The first record I would cut with him would be any vinyl that has "Jughead" or any Tony M involvement. We'd use small steak knives at first, but after that got boring, we'd progress to inviting that rock group "Jackyll" over to simply use their chainsaws, and eradicate Tony M from as many records as possible.

I'd say it would never happen. Unless he wanted to sleep with you or try and become relevant to the teen market.

I like this idea, but why stop there? Next we could cut up anything with autotune on it. . Then we go after all the Prince records featuring 808 drums. Then any song where Prince used the word "T'was" in the lyrics. Next all the Doug E Fresh tracks. Every soul ballad Prince wrote for a female. Every PROTOGE album he worked on since Sheila E. Yep, every GOTT-DAMN one! All the tracks referencing CON-tracts! We can do this!

I think i'd request something from the vault that i could put my own spin on, with his input, of course. Outside of that, i'd probably have to pass. It doesn't seem to bode well for those who work with him, for whatever reason.

I'll certainly refuse. Prince Roger Nelson is such a douchebag in person, and music-wise he sucks now, why would I want to do a record with him? He's boring, he's repeating himself over and over. The only offer I can accept is him inviting me to a jam session where he would play my favorite songs of his.

Yeah, I'm into it. So the thing is, I only get 2 weeks off from my job. So the thing to do would be to have you and the other musicians hang here in LA for a month, and we can practice from 6 to 10 on weeknights, all day on weekends. Then we should be able to cut the thing in 2 weeks, we got plenty of studios here in LA. And you know what? I'm gonna need a non-refundable deposit for 75% before we get started. Cool, I'm glad you understand man. All right, let's make some records!

I actually have made records with some people I really admired, used to listen to as a kid and stuff. It's amazing how fast you get over being startstruck when you sit down to work. You have about 5 minutes to be impressed, and another 2 minutes to be impressed with yourself for getting there, and then it's time to get to work.

yeah sure why not come on over ... throw around a few ideas .. lay down some drums n bass and start over dubbing .. prince would have to respect my one and only rule .. whatever the final product is must be THE BEST SONG OF ALL TIME .. otherwise it is hitting the garbage can (and yes I will be the one to decide the musics qualifications as prince ear has been way off for some time)

after that it's time for some ping pong and we can hit up the new skateland with questlove
