The song Callinmate was referring to is called, " heart or $" (Love or Money) and was the b-side to Kiss. There are separate songs called Love and $ on the albums 3121 and Lotusflow3r.

So much for her being a Prince fan since 3. rolleyes

Sure, so I guess this means that I'm not "real" because I misread a post and thought it was an album cut from 3121. Also $ is the name of a cut on LotusFl3wr, so much for YOU being a Prince fan. So sue me that I misread the post rolleyes

Ha, that's funny. Yeah I think Love is an awesome song and I like the intro to $ as well. I haven't heard a lot of the songs people refer to on here sometimes because I don't actively chase bootlegs smile

Thanks for the info but I wasn't suggesting those two songs were bootlegs, was just saying in general.

I became a fan in 1991 when I heard "Jughead." I became a fanatic when I saw Tony M, Damon D, and Kirky Jerky J dancing in those amazing Star Trek Next Generation uniforms. I had never seen or heard such an incredible combonation of rapping and dancing before in my entire life. The only time I ever had sadness is hearing the awful original version of "Old Friends 4 Sale." Prince corrected this mistake by re-recording this awful song and fixing it on the Vault album in 1999.

Best Songs:

Jughead, The Wedding Feast, U Know, The Flow, Schoolyard, Call The Law, Props N Pounds, We Gets Up, Da Da Da, Mr Goodnight, Everybody Loves Me, Dear Mr Man, Life O The Party, Old Friends 4 Sale(1990's version).

Worst Songs:

When Doves Cry, If I Was Your Girlfriend, Strange Relationship, 1999, The Beautiful Ones,

Starfish & Coffee, Annie Christian, Do Me Baby, Electric Intercourse, Moonbeam Levels, Sign O The Times, Housequake, The Ballad of Dorothy Parker, Old Friends 4 Sale.(Original version)

Seriously though....I was a fan in '79 and became ride or die in '82. I loved Prince's work for a couple of years before I even knew who the hell he was. lol

Bart probably became a fan when most of us did between 82-84. He stopped being a fan in 1990 or so, and simply lived to tell everyone how much he hated Prince. I tend to agree with Bart on Prince's live shows...when Prince is half assing it with having Shelby shouting at the top of her lungs, but I still love shows when Prince brings it. Bart doesn't. He simply hates everything. Amazing.

The first time I actually remember seeing him was when my fiancee bought me the 1999 album as a gift. Needless to say, he was unforgettable lying butt nekkid under that sheet. lol

Bart became a fan many years ago in Minneapolis. He was wandering through Prince's neighbourhood when he heard the sound of the Batman theme song coming from a nearby window. He peered in to see a very young Prince playing the tune on the family piano. The family were gathered around, looking in amazement at this young child who had played this without any sheet music, just from hearing it on a TV. But unfortunately Prince slightly messed up the end and Barts initial excitement turned to rage as he realised that Prince had lost it and that Prince would never be as good again as he was for those first few minutes.

RIP sad

Adorecream

Before I was born in 1976, I was previously incarnated as Sheilagh Bronstein who was born in Minneapolis in 1957 and went to Central High. I used to watch Prince and his pals practice in the music room and knew he was god in music.

.

Unfoirtunately I choked on a Matzoh ball in 1974 aged 16 and died and then I was reincarnated in 1976 as a Maori boy in New Zealand who only got into Prince in 1991 lol

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

Since 1989. I was 8 years old and became obsessed with "Partyman" and the Batman soundtrack which I had on cassette (recorded from a babysitter). Saw him live when I was 10 with a school friend and his family because his older sister couldn't go.

Been a fan since 1978! I was a three-year-old singing along to "Soft and Wet" and had no idea what I was singing about! (LOL) I think I became die-hard when 1999 dropped in 1982.

I've been a fan since 1982 when Prince was huge on Detroit radio (1999 and LRC). I was 10 years old and loved the music, and still remember not knowing what Prince looked like (we didn't have MTV or anything like that yet).
