Isn't Prince into animal rights? Because the organization that gets the donations tests on animals - more specifically, primates. Very inhumane.

I couldn't see Prince supporting that, personally.

as well as ALS being controlled successfully with diet and that all the money goes to the ceo of the charity and not where people think it is going .. would be nice to think prince knows all this and won't be dumb like america .. animal testing does not work and its cruel

That makes it all the more shocking Kermit agreed to do it!

The founder of Dopper, has just donated the money, but refused to spill water. I think he did the right thing.

I think Prince has 2 options, he can just ignore it.

Or change a few lyrics of 'Something in the water does not compute' and edit a clip about shortage of water around the world. And of course donate money to a charity that promotes good watermanagement. For example water for Africa or another initiative.

That would be cool. No need to say anything negative about ALS, but raising awareness about how precious water is.

And water should be treated preciously and not get waisted or polluted.

Instead of water he could use dry goods such as:

Pasta
Buttercotch clouds
A tangerine
That cereal he likes
Diamonds
Seeds of some kind which are vegan
Morris day could squeeze into a bucket easy.

Hope this helps.
Baby, you're a star.

To answer the question. No, Prince won't do it. Why? Because, he won't.

The purpose of dumping ice water on yourself is for you to feel what a person who suffers from ALS feels. It's not just a gimmick.

If he doesn't do it, it's not about the ice water, it's about being put on the spot and forced to take part in a charity he may or may not have any personal involvement in on the past. Same thing happened with Live Aid and Geldof did resort to bullying him and others at the time.

We can't and shouldn't say he will or won't do it, it's up to him to say one way or the other, he has donated proceeds from his past shows to charities so it's not like he he's not philanthropic, plus any help he may have provided anonymously where he didn't want his name mentioned.

A lot of people are also invoking their own personal charities through it because of the attention it's bringing.

Garth Brooks wore a hat when he had the bucket dumped, so not everyone is getting ice water dumped on their heads.

They say P is competitive, so we'll see if he does decide to do it. A lot of people I never thought would done it, have. ALS will never get this level of money or attention again. I mean, people do that annual jumping into freezing water in winter.

People enjoy the videos because they're a fun distraction from the seriousness going on in the world.

I didn't know that.

It turned into a gimmick, I had no idea about the purpose behind it!

One reason Ice dumping so pretty stupid, is even though it is fairly harmless, it's something for people under 45. Older people are prone to pneumonia. George Michael is 51, and nobody dumped ice on him, and he nearly died from pneumonia, and despite the rumors, he has no confirmed illness that led to the pneumonia.

Just google George Allen, former NFL football coach, who was met with a shower of gatorade in a game where the temperature was in the 50's. Not freezing mind you, but he was old. He died two months later.

What you are not pointing out is that once you reach 45
just taking a shower puts your life at risk. Who knows how
many people die from taking a morning shower. I think there
is a term for it - Bathroom Pneumonia. And lets not
think about what could happen if you go swimmimg at that age. lol
