I will never forgive Blur back then when they made "fun" of The Artist / -- how about U - how did U react back then, did U even notice it..... ?




back in 1995, Blur made a fool out of : The Artist Formerly Known As Prince at the Brit Awards.... Prince ( ) won the Brit statue for "best international male artist" that year,

But it was somehow overshadowed, in New Musical Express, there was an article, with the Blur drummer writing "Dave" on his face..... trying to make Blur look amazing, and make look like a clown.

Did you laugh at that, was it funny...?


Personal, I got angry at the little band from the UK, making fun of my big hero. Yes, "The Artist" and his crusade against Warner was really a serious matter to me back then, and Blur they were just a**holes to me back then......

I didn't like Blur back then, but they were MASSIVE, at least in europe. And guess who's behind the Gorillaz? Say what you want, but Daman Albarn is VERY successful.

Anyway, Prince was being pretty silly at that time, I mean, we're so used to it now that we don't really think twice about it, but if you're changing your name to an unpronounceable symbol chances are you're going to get mocked. I often think that a lot of people on this board seem to get far too affronted when other celebs mock Prince, I mean, does it really matter? He's done some weird things that I daresay deserve mocking, but we all know he's great really, so why care what others say?
