The Bread Roll incedent, 1995, cool story from Q Mag.

Straight from the mag, pretty cool story*

Febuary 20th

Appears at Brit awards, Blur throw bread rolls at him from their table and drummer Dave Rowntree steals the show by scrawling Dave on his face as a send up of his Slave doodle.

Later...

March 3 rd

Blur turn up at the Astoria stage door expecting to pick up their tickets. A Minder is sent out with a box for the band and when Damon opens it, instead of tickets, he sees four bread rolls in a napkin

Pretty tuff I think.

Questions on the article, org note me.

Brilliant.

The boys from Blur use to act like a right bunch of wankers. They seem to have grown up a lot in recent years.

"YEAH!!!"

It was Blur who grabbed most headlines the day after the bread-throwing / face-scrawling incident, not least because most people couldn't understand what Prince was talking about, and considered his behaviour was worthy of ridicule.

Dave Rowntree commented, "I was considering writing 'Wanker' on my face, but it wouldn't fit."

Blur is HOT HOT HOT. Damon makes my sun shine in all the naughty places.
