Is it true... Prince fired Jerome from his backup singers after the Parade Tour because he appeard in Janet Jackson's "Control" video alongside his brother, Terry Lewis? Was he still bitter over the Jam and Lewis split and took it out on Jerome? | |

yep.Prince is very Competitive&didn't want to Share His Camp with outsiders.He also Fired JellyBean Johnson for being down in that Video as well.you know how Much Prince likes Control. mistermaxxx | |

Think about it. Jerome's part worked out, and well too. Think what the image of the Time would be like without him.

Yes,that is true.As soon as Prince saw the "Control" video,he immediately cut Jerome from the payroll.In those days,Prince was still a control freak,and he didn't really want his "employees" working outside of his organization. | |

Jerome's talent is his flair for comedy and dancing. I saw the Time live a couple summers ago and Jerome was playing a little percussion, a small drum. But it didn't amount to much.
What I noticed about that show was how much time Morris Day spent [i]off[/] the stage. Jerome stayed front and center leading cheers and goofing with the crowd, keeping everybody entertained while Morris disappeared. | |
