I wouldn't be studying music at university. I make my money as a musician and without Prince I would still be playing football. The minute I heard Prince I knew that was what I wanted to do. I literally wouldn't be where I am today if I'd never discovered him. I owe him a lot in that regard. I got two sides... and they're both friends.

I'd be exactly like I am. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Very good question! I honestly got a lot of my strength to be what I wanted to be, from him. I was always a little strange in others eyes. Once I reached highschool, I was feeling the strain. But then I became a Prince (1989, Batman soundtrack won me over). Here was this skinny, girly, short guy winning over women left and right. Doing things his way. Spitting in the face of mainstream radio, but still topping the charts. So, I just became stronger through his music, and style. He was a great inspiration to me.

Honestly Prince's no drugs or alcohol stance during the Puple Rain era was hugely influential on me at the time in a good way. On the flip side I've lost a lot of girlfriends due to Prince. He said girls like it if you lick 'em, on the knees. Turns out that was incorrect.

I'd be no different. My music would be a little different, but that's about it.
