I've got one and I've preordered Sign from Japan

Sometimes you can find online secret key combinations to change a player from one zone to another

Released by who though? If it isn't official, ie. warners, I would question the potential quality of this. Asthetically the packaging looks pretty damn sweet though.

For real? I didn't know this, but I don't own a Blu Ray player. That kinda makes me wanna buy one if I know I can buy cool import stuff not released in some markets

It's true Guv! well officially, about two thirds are anyway. I've bought a fair few from Japan and never had a problem. This would be the first one that does though, i'll bet!

I do NOT think Blu Ray Players are region free.

When I looked into it (due to this release) I learned that U.S.A. and Japan are in the same "Region" code. A quick Google search will explain which countries are which "region". I put "Region" in quotes because I think I remember that they have another name for it for Blu Ray.

Why not a 2 disc set. The first with the movie we already have, and the second containing the deleted scenes/songs.

Blu- rays have regions. My French "The Howling" won't play in my USA player. But just like DVD's, regions can have common countries or be authored region free. I already have SOTT on blu-ray and it's great and official. It was the australian one from a few years ago. But this packaging is deluxe!

Because she told me so a long time ago while we were having a little debate. It still hurts my little Turkish heart to this day. She said: " I just don´t care about you!"

And then, after the pancakes, we drink some coffee and some rosé wine and get back to getting our freak on, listening to Clockin the Jizz while I´m trying to really clock my jizz, which is sometimes no easy task.

I think we just have a temporary misunderstanding that started due to some unfortunate thread about a topic that we both don´t remember any longer.

Nonsense. BDs have three regions. There are US BDs that are playable in European players, and vice versa, but that is specific for each disc, though some companies are usually consistent WRT discs being universally playable/region free or not. Example: Criterion BDs are Region A only, and not playable in European players (unless you've got a multi-region player).

Utterly unnecessary. No way the movie takes up the entire disc, unless they've encoded it at an extrmely high level.

The correct abbreviation is "BD", as in "Blu-ray Disc" (CD = "Compact Disc").

According to some sources, "comes with a 5.1 DTS HD audio mix as well as stereo LPCM". Which is different than the Australian release, because that oen came with "5.1 Dolby TrueHD Audio".

I'm guessing the copies are still underway, so we'll probably get to know more when they arrive. Haven't ordered it because I can't play Region A BDs.

I.e.: as a completist I should get both releases.

Especially as the Japanese release has LPCM!!!1!

As there were no remarks yet about different video contents I mus assume that there are no differences until proven otherwise.

Review: First of all, it IS region free. I just watched it on a PAL PS3.

The 5.1 audio track gave me nothing, no action in the back, and the sound was "flat". The PCM 2.0 audio track on the other hand, was unbelievable, the bass hit HARD! I've never heard the mix sound THIS good before. This alone makes a purchase worth the investment.

The picture is still grainy in places throughout the film. I guess that is because of how it was shot (film?). I can't compare this to the Australian version, since I don't own that. But, there's no doubt in my mind - this film has never looked as good as this! Especially when it gets to "Forever in My Life"/"It", the picture is crystal clear, and the colors are vibrant.

Conclusion, do yourself a favor - buy this while you can, and before it's gone
