Come Album Appreaciation Probably Prince's darkest album and maybe his most underrated. I used to dismiss the album as contractual filler, but it really is a great, edgy album. The title track is great, and I love the brooding atmosphere that permeates the album. I only wish the 'Face the music' shouts on 'Race' weren't there, they're almost like a precursor to Shelby's shouting at the NPG shows. I messed with the configuration and made a slightly altered Come album, omitting 'Letitgo', (it's a weak ending in my opinion), in place of 'Empty Room', and stuck 'What's My Name' between 'Race' and 'Dark', which I think makes it an even better album - maybe even one of my favourites. Hell yeah Prince used to be so great.. and, Letitgo is such a great song.. (I have to disagree with you on this), My iTunes list includes Lovesign (such a shame that song (single) wasn't included).. Prince 4Ever.  | |

I Love this album. Its dark, funky, and meaningful. My fave tracks are Come, letitgo, Dark, Space, and Solo. This album is pure poetry. Its sad that the album is WAY underrated. I count it as one of his best. Also this album has my fave maxi singles. I mean who doesnt love Space (Universal Love Remix)? P was making alot of good music at this time. I just wish Pope was included in the track listing. That would be cool. This Could Be Us But U Be Playin...

It's a weird one this as it's a tale of love and hate for me. I love the title track in all it's versions except for the one which made it to the album. I absolutely love it from track 3 - 6, Pheremon, Loose, Papa and Race is a sequence that is hard to top for me, absolutely killer. Then there's Space, Dark, Solo and Letitgo which I rarely have the time for, not much for me to enjoy in those tracks. And orgasm is a waste of disc space, which thisisreece pbviously agrees with as he calls Letitgo the closer!
Based on number of tracks liked to dislike it would be 4/10 but the good track are so good I'd have to go with an overall 7/10. RIP  | |

I love the album, but I think it would have been much better with all the Glam Slam Ulysses tracks on it. Also replace the version of Come with the faster version, like on the Beautiful Experience film, but with the extra verse and keyboard solo. TRUE BLUE |
