I have a gallery in my basement with framed collages of the concerts I've attended. There is a "Prince corner" that includes the posters from "3121" and "Planet Earth" that I got from the old Borders bookstore... I'll have to take pix when I get home...

I don't have a picture (and don't have the "poster" anymore either), but when Diamonds & Pearls came out I had a GIANT subway-style poster on my bedroom wall. It was probably 4-5 feet by 7-8 feet if I had guess. I bought it at a head shop while on spring break in Myrtle Beach. '

It was rolled up, so it was very hard to bring home without creases (especially with luggage and coolers) but we managed to do it! It was the alternate D&P cover with blue tones and a stacked title block.

The only other poster that had a very prominent spot on my bedroom wall was the "When Doves Cry" band poster from inside the PR album.

You should never have pictures of single women (if you're a woman) and single men (if you're a man) in the bedroom - especially in the romance gua. It's bad feng shui.

I've got the W2A New York poster hanging on the wall...

...a Planet Earth light box poster left from an old record shop...

...and the Purple Rain LP.

I had other posters (two that you have) but I gave them away before my place started looking looking like a shrine. I hung other music related pix instead. Your gallery looks very nice.

I haven't had a poster on my walls since I got married, but I'm reconsidering that decision. lol Framing them makes them art, right?

It at least gives you more of a basis for claiming that they're "art." The definition of "art" is subjective anyway...

just to inform... I am single, and not married...

I guess I have to take down these posters when I find my woman....

My former girlfriend wasn't that happy, about my musical taste... we had the SOTT poster in the living room, she wasn't fond of that,

But, who knows.. I still hope I will find a woman that likes Prince & his music..

I like these posters, they are like art to me... even the Lovesexy poster.... very stylish and I have good memories to that era...

I like to look at all of these a lot..

Now this can be a 'test' for your future girlfriend/wife. If their reaction is one of positivity (at least they have a plus sign ) , then if they like his music, well then, might be a possible connection/match to your future mate.

And if she cannot respect your musical tastes, then kick her ass to the curb

I think it would be amazing to find a person that supports your interests and doesn't pass judgement. Unforunately, that is not the person I married and so that is why I have no pictures or anything of Prince up in my home. I had to accept the fact that I married my husband and not Prince (so sad lol) and that this is his home, too. I guess that's why it's so important to make sure you're completely compatible before you're married. My husband knew I was a huge fan and didn't really say anything about disliking him (immensely) until we had been married for a while.

The Dance- Don't take them down until you want to, if ever! lol If you bring someone home and she hates them/makes fun of them or you then I would say she's not the one for you, someone that loves you will accept you for all that you are. We only live once, might as well do what makes us happy!

ETA: I REALLLLLY want that 1999. Poster lol

I'm too old to give a damn about whether anyone likes what I hang on my walls or not. I hang things that make me happy and that's it.

I'll make the editorial comment. If you don't want your pad to be rockin and you don't want to be getting it on, then by all means leave the posters up.

But I would add porn posters/pictures wouldn't do you any good either.

For the record I like your posters. I have the WB official Parade posters framed and on my office wall. Along with a framed Love Symbol (#1)necklace and framed Purple Rain Tambourine.

No other Prince merchandise will be found outside of the office.

I only have the posters up because I framed them as a teenager and have no real place to store them.

As i'm quite fine with my manhood and myself in general, i'd find it absurd to take down posters because a potential love interest could question me as a man.

Thing is, if you are confident about yourself as a man, then that is the true essence and as manly as can be.For real, i could walk around in a pink pyjama and it wouldn't affect my manliness.

My purpose in life is not to fulfill cliches of what a "real man" is.
