Ain't Gonna Miss You Appreciation Thread I know this tune get's no love around here, but I love this song. It sounds like Parade meets the Black Album. So funky and to the point. Who else is digging this track?
Reminds me of 1999 material. The best of song in the last year. Cheers and love.

It's great. I love the bass on it. It does remind me of Judas Smile.

I like it but it's a bit long without it really going anywhere... I would have cut it after the first rap. Also, I think it needs a funky guitar and less silly sound effects

I like it too, very catchy and quite original. Liked the Bob George and other SFX. One of the recent highlights.

I honestly think this is a classic. Very underestimated. Love it. Far better than the likes of Scarlett Pussy and Escape. Brilliantly produced too. .

Although I like some aspects of it, lots of editing, rearranging or even recomposing has to be done in order to make this song really work.

I started this thread thinking I would attract a bunch of haters but I got a lot of love. This is great. I want to tell you all that I love you and I love Prince music as well. [Edited 5/27/14 19:10pm]

Great song could've done without the silly low voice at the end She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo

I like "Ain't Gonna Miss You" as well. It is a funky track that feels like a Prince song rather than Prince overthinking things. My only problem with it is that it feels like an album track or a cool internet only track when I am hungry ( ravenous) for a stone cold classic Prince to drop encased in an album. And "The Breakdown" is cool but it is not quite that track for me either. Prince never has to release another song and he will remain my favourite artist. However I will never give up on the notion that he has got another two dozen or so classic songs left in his soul and is not a spent force artistically.
