I'm in the minority apparently, but I prefer the live versions to the radio rip. Maybe that will change once I hear the song on an actual CD.

I heard a stream of it that 3rdeyegirl tweeted the other day and am diggin' it.

It was kind of cool hearing it in such low quality as it remided me of listening to an old boot in the 80's/90's.

Felt like an undiscovered song from back in the day.

Cause tomorrow is taking too long

They deleted it

Was looking for this but is it a fact that they provided a link on twitter only to delete it shortly afterwards?!?! I can understand the hit and run shows as promotion (though they failed to release anything...) but this is just odd. I guess I will hear the songs eventually when the silliness abates...

I think the account was hacked or the fact it was linked to a boot, I don't think he would link to a radio Rip of a new album track on purpose would he smile

To be honest, he might have done that himself. Just as well as he might have realized a little bit later that it wasn't a good idea.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. I will rub myself with patience-lotion and wait for the sudden official release...smile

I only heard the radio version which was scratchy - I didn't bother saving it. Hoping for a clean version with some remixes.

Horns. I really love the part that sounds like Sew, a needle pulling thread. La, a note to follow Sew. Tea, a drink with jam and bread. That will bring us back to...FunkNRoll of course. razz
Vocals are slamming. Especially the ad libs on that part!

Not "just" edit.

Awesome! I cant wait either. Every time I hear this radio rip it just takes me back to late 80s bootleg songs! Love it!

Had to dig around HARD To find the radio rip, but I like it. In fact so far I've enjoyed

Pretzlebodylogic
Funknroll
Fallinlove2nite

Not much else though. I miss the days when his output was curated (and sequenced?) by the labels... but hey that's what playlists are for these days I guess...

I for one love this fun track too. the sound is very promissing, and it's been such a long time hearing prince having so much fun behind a mic ! hundelasiliah !

I have not heard the studio version but saw it on Arsenio. I was not feeling it at all. It sounded like a tune that couldn't get off the ground, and the lyrics sounded like something we've heard before. With that said, mo' love to Prince...

Am I the only one that thinks this radio version that was played was actually the remix? Thought FunkNRoll was supposed to be on Plectrum and this song doesn't sound like it is organic or done in one take.

"FixUrLifeUp" and "PretzelBodyLogic" hardly sound like they were done in one take.
