Be patient! He just has to make sure that every part of the album goes together well, much like he did with all of his other masterpieces called 3121, Planet Earth etc.

Every Prince fan knows there's nothing Prince hates more than seeing anyone besides the musicians who created it profit from music sales, distribution, etc. Evidently, he wants Plectrum Electrum to be heard by as many fans as possible, but he would rather shelf the album than share the proceeds with non-musicians. Finding a deal which accomplishes both has been difficult, naturally. Of course, this makes Prince look greedy, which is why Arsenio, and other interviewers, are prevented from asking about 'the new album.'

Make it mail order like he did Rave in the old NPGMC or even ONA...sure some people never receive their copy of Rave if I remember correctly but ONA seemed to go smoothly....I don't think we'll actually see a 3rdeye girl album after all - I think they work better live and he knows it won't transfer to CD like other fantastic 'live' songs - endorphinmachine, days of wild etc

Nothing from Prince.

Nothing from Kobalt.

Nothing from that Swiss label.

Nothing from anybody else?

Prince has achieved all this expectancy for what will probably be a rather mediocre album. I hope I'm wrong.

I am so over him talking about an album then releasing it a year later. I've moved on from pelectrum enema, pelican assylum, picinic with ants, what ever its called. It's done and been ready to be released. Prince don't talk about an album util you are really ready to release it.

Yes, you can laugh, but at least some people got that `celebration` in the UK (London, Manchester).

That's something different than 'all I got was this T-shirt...'.

While I agree with you about making sure all parts of the album go together (and this was especially evident on the sequencing problem in Lotus Flow3r), I personally would NOT consider either album you cite a masterpiece). 3121 is a bumpin' album, but Planet Earth was the most G-rated/retro album I think he's ever done. I listened to it regularly for about 2 months and haven't really played it through since 2007.

Hopefully something soon! I was beyond excited by January the 7th. Maybe they did mean 1st of July! I'm holding off buying pretzelbodylogic as don't wanna but it twice if it's on the album. In the old days with a cd single ur buy it twice cos u'd get a b-side or an extended version - when it's just trax, I'm willing to wait.

Are you a moron? He has to find a distrubution channel for this project. It will not matter if it is as good as 3121 or as weak as Planet Earth. If he cannot find a deal he will have to put it out himself and he will get not one minute of radio airplay. The masses hear new music via the radio. I see no point in Prince putting out anything independly anymore it simply means good music goes unheard.

I.o.w.: Kobalt won't do distribution and/or that deal is dead.

Which part is true?
