OK, I have a couple questions for those expressing hate towards this:

1. Are Rolling Stone and its editors and its readers and its critics all full of beans, and you are right? OR
2. Are you full of beans and everyone else is right?

Think about it.

BCW as a song blows .. nobody bought it except about 17 orgers .. had the worst video EVER .. please let me watch graffiti bridge over the BCW vid .. it just makes no sense other than prince is either boinking the editor or paying thru the nose to get them to pretend to like this nonsense .. probably both

look ... people who love music hate fake ass crap music .. deal with it .. if your taste is so bad that you find horrible music to be good .. great .. but some of us want to hear good music again ... not plastic meaningless drivel .. especially from prince .. you have every right to praise garbage and we have every right to call garbage .. garbage .. i dont think any 'fan' is happy when a favorite artists garbage gets praised .. it just encourages and enables more garbage from the artist ... and those who loved prince when he was good know what good music sounds like and are fed up with garbage music everywhere and even more fed up with idiots praising garbage as good .. go put on 17 days or 'how come u dont call me' or any other obscure b side and then play 'breakfast can wait'. Then try to tell me he even came close to those B sides that he used to consider not good enough for his fucking amazing records. Come on .. have a real conversation for a change and stop defending this groupie fodder prince puts out for a quick cash grab because he knows some of you are so dense you will buy anything he puts his name on.

Man, the delusional arrogance is just dripping from this post lol...

Why does it seem that the ones who abso-stinkin-lutely insist that their personal taste should be the barometer of "good" and "bad" are the ones who love going overboard about how much they hate whatever Prince has released?

It's a conspiracy theory nod...

The magazine editors and music critics are in on it. So are some of the various independent online musical outlets. They are all members of the Illuminati, joining forces to use chemtrails to drug the masses into thinking that "Breakfast Can Wait" is a good song. Only those smart enough and enlightened enough (and who wear paper masks over their mouths to keep the chemtrail doohickeys from infesting their cerebral cortex) understand and recognize this vile plot put forth by George W. That list was a crock of shit. That said, I was glad to see UK artists dominate such a large portion considering its the size of Florida.

How did Lorde "Tennis Court", Tom Ordells "Hold Me", Churches " The mother we shared" and Eminems "Headlights" not make the list......

for me Lorde's entire album should make up the top 10 lol

.

i think i listened to that album probably 50 times or more

by now, and i always listen all the way through. there isn't

a bad track on there. i love the shit out of that album.

last time i listend to an album that often and with such joy

was when beck released "modern guilt"

.

and good or bad song (i happen to think it's a nice little

song) it's cool to see prince get some props these days.

Him being in the top 50 for best song must be because the press has found him to be relevant again because he's more nice with the media. I'm a big fan, but I would never put it that high. And this is one of the few times I agree a bit with Trevorayer. It's not totally trash though, it's just not that good of a song. And that chipmunk shit is terrible.

This just proves how much power the media has, and how much ass lick you'll have to do to get noticed. His songs are suddenly "good" just because he is tweeting a bit, and doing exclusive concerts in Paisly Park. Does it make one song better? Rolling Stone Magazine seems to think so. Atleast Andy Allo had a great album that is more likely a Prince album with her voice on top. This is not hating. I'm just saying what I think. Prince is king anyways.

Nah, I think it's because it really is a good song, just one that you (and others) don't like. It IS possible to not like a song that's considered good.

The idea that it's impossible for individual music critics to like BCW without it being due to things like being paid off by publicists or responding to Prince apparently being more media-friendly now holds little credibility. The Rainbow Children got put on the top 10 lists of 15-20 critics' lists when it came out and back then the howls of ridicule from p.org members over them doing so was deafening lol...that obviously wasn't because Prince was more accessible back then.

I doubt you'll find too many other media outlets putting BCW on their top 50 songs list, but that doesn't mean it's because they think it's crap lol...hell, I've been reading tons of criticism for having "Royals" ranked so high (or ranked at all), and I love that stinkin' song.

His best song this year is the rehearsal of 'Something in the Water'. That says so much. He's done, he's purely a nostalgia act now, limp-dicked, incapable of innovation. Congratulations on him being alive still and being an icon just cause he was a great recording artist back in the 80's. He's certainly not one now. Bitter pill to swallow maybe, but a fact all the same.

I think the general consensus for TRC was it was musically fantastic and vocally retarded. Darth Vader voice (even if it sounds nothing like Vader), Ducks instead of fucks, Wedding Feast, white jailbait, Anti-semitism and general racism ring a bell with me.

I'd love an instrumental version of it though for sure.

U the one need to be in a straight jacket! Because U are not talking about Prince here!!! Prince has made so many brilliant songs in his career. More than ANY other single artist in history!!! He was pumping one BRILLIANT album after another for DECADES!!! That he NEVER has to EVER make another hit if he doesn't want to. THE RECORD INDUSTRY NOWADAYS DOESN'T DESERVE IT!! That is why he stopped releasing albums. For U to even fathom and say that he is DONE means. U don't know Prince and what he can do at all!!!! U are a disgrace to Prince & his loyal following !!!

eye will ALWAYS think of prince like a "ACT OF GOD"! N another realm. eye mean of all people who might of been aliens or angels.if found out that prince wasn't of this earth, eye would not have been that surprised. R.I.P. prince

Better a disgrace than a blinkered, sycophantic imbecile. I laugh at every one of your posts. You're a joke. For example, "For U to even fathom and say that he is DONE means" isn't a sentence that even makes any sense at all. The reason he doesn't release albums is he has no convential distribution methods open to him, He burnt his bridges, he doesn't shift enough units, He's a troublesome, difficult arse. Take your pick.

.

I guess you think one of Prince's people will read your posts (because you so know him and aren't deluded at all!) and you'll get front row tickets one day so you can cry your little heart out at your ageing master somewhere. That just won't happen.

.

Sure he has some brilliant songs, i agree. But you have to realise by saying "more than anyone in history" makes you look like a dramatic, screaming, swivel-eyed loon. That's only your opinion.

.

Believe it or not, there are people out there that think Prince is actually total shit and hasn't been able to move them in any way, ever. Some think he's a poser, derivative of other artists, and not particularly innovative. As i've got older, I personally find his influences and some of his peers ultimately more interesting (and sincere) than him.

.

For the rest of your life, You can kiss his ass as much as you like, but i guarantee, disgrace or not, Prince loves my money at a gig just as much as yours.

.

Yeah he's still great live sometimes, but He IS now a nostalgia act, whether you, him or any other fucker likes it or not.

FACT!

.

It's so funny that if you say you like a new Prince song, certain people will get their panties in a wad and tell you how stupid you are. It's like their opinion has to be your fact.

When I tell you that Nirvana killed rock and roll, at least I don't question that you like Nirvana. I respect the fact that people like Nirvana, or Pearl Jam, or any other band I think contributed to the downfall of what used to be rock and roll. That's their perogative.
