After seeing the Prince albums on HDtracks.com

"I found a bunch of albums on HDtracks.com which are 24/96 and 24/192 versions. In particular the prince albums state they are from Warner/Rhino.

Can you verify these are remastered/official as they could just be upsampled from cd."

The HDtracks.com versions of the Prince albums you mention are all official Rhino/Warner Bros. titles.

I am not interested in the 24/96 vs 16/44 argument, I just want to know if they have been remastered as some of the original albums just sound thin.

I think it's been answered already. They're not remastered in the sense that people have been waiting for.

They're new hi-definition copies of original material. Now, with technology and a higher bitrate, they might sound better than the digital files of the mid 80s. But they're not newly-remastered.

None of the original albums sound thin, unless you mean the CD versions of the original albums... they suck. All of the original vinyl albums sound full, detailed, and beatiful.

The HD Tracks versions are FAR better than those terrible CDs manufactured in the late '80s/early '90s.
