Prince HD albums After seeing the Prince albums on HDtracks.com
http://www.hdtracks.com/m...w/id/5182/
I emailed Rhino:
"I found a bunch of albums on HDtracks.com which are 24/96 and 24/192 versions. In particular the prince albums state they are from Warner/Rhino.

I have replied asking whether they are official remasters. Will post response here...
I am not interested in the 24/96 vs 16/44 argument, I just want to know if they have been remastered as some of the original albums just sound thin. [Edited 11/5/13 16:57pm]

I think it's been answered already. They're not remastered in the sense that people have been waiting for.
They're new hi-definition copies of original material. Now, with technology and a higher bitrate, they might sound better than the digital files of the mid 80s. But they're not newly-remastered. [Edited 11/5/13 17:06pm]

. None of the original albums sound thin, unless you mean the CD versions of the original albums... they suck. All of the original vinyl albums sound full, detailed, and beatiful. . The HD Tracks versions are FAR better than those terrible CDs manufactured in the late '80s/early '90s. [Edited 11/6/13 5:42am] "He's a musician's musician..."
