I like this version more then the original...

[Don't post any vids. We don't have the purple permission to post them.

If DrFunkenberry site has them, then just post the DrFunkenberry page link only, thanks. - luv4u]

I love how stuff keeps dripping out. This here, there that,..some for pay, some for neigh. Seemingly Disorganized... But fun. It'll be sooperdooperoober fun if an organized album drops.

The chorus had a ever sk slight robotic feel to me. It got me thinking about Cindy Mayweather. It wud be a clever cover for an android in lovetrouble w/ a human cuz the 'they' would shift from girls to humans.

I'd love to see how miss Robinson would approach the vocals taking into account how she sings.

not my favorite version of the song, but it sounds pretty good. especially the soloing. i wish i was more excited about the whole 3RDEYEGIRL thing. maybe you have to be there to "get it."

I like this version for this time in his life. It's a more mature sound and it's a nice alternative for a live set list. However, I still like the original better for listening purposes.

As much as I hate the recent studio offerings (and believe me, I do), I dunno, I kinda like 3rd eye live. It's got a meatier sound than the Npg. It's good too hear his guitar not being buried under a pile of synths and horns.
This kind of tempo and feel is much more suited to Prince's current vocal range.
I ain't been to a gig since 98 (through choice) but if he brought it to the UK I'd go (provided he didn't charge £6900 per ticket).
don't play me...i'm over 30 and i DO smoke weed....

He sounds like he no longer wonders but knows for sure now the what/why of women. He's never sounded like that on this to me before.

The old-ists get an old song, the new-ists get a new performance. The rest get an unheard live performance free of charge. A free boot from the source. I was equally pleased by the sweetest cover.

I really like this, a lot. And I am *so pleased* that it's the full version, rather than (for example) fading out as soon as the guitar solo hits. It's interesting how, to me, the stuff he puts up for free on YouTube is often eons better than the stuff he puts up for sale on 3rdeyegirl.com - for example, he just charged for an audience recording of "Eye Like It There" but puts up a perfect soundboard of "Something in the Water."

Interesting - but I am most definitely not complaining. This confirms for me that I really, really, really want the opportunity to see 3rdeyegirl live in a small-to-medium sized club, and soon. I would gladly pay a couple hundred dollars for that, and not feel like I was being ripped off. (Whereas with the NPG anymore, I feel like my limit, especially in an arena, but probably even in a small club, is about $50 or so ... because they never play anything I haven't heard a million times.) This is different, this is fresh, and this is what I want from Prince. smile

oh, and it's in .wav and the sound is better than the youtube upload.

but it's the same length, so no differences there. anywho, coolness.
